Hetton Primary School headteacher Nicola Hill joins pupils to react to their good Ofsted inspection.
Transcript
00:00 Okay, then Mrs Hill, how do you feel about the good judgement and what pleased you most?
00:05 We were so thrilled that the school was confirmed as good because we do believe that we are
00:10 absolutely fabulous. The first line of the report talks about Head and Primary School
00:16 being typified as warm and trusting relationships and that bit really got us all because that
00:21 is what we strive to do when we speak to any of the children or the families or any of
00:25 the professionals that come into the school. The rest of the report really celebrated all
00:29 of our strengths and the Ofsted inspector really managed to capture the true feeling
00:36 of Head and Primary School so we couldn't have really asked for much more.
00:40 Okay then Declan, I understand you showed the inspector round? Remember what he asked
00:45 you? He asked us about how the school was, what
00:47 lessons we did and what our favourite lesson was. We also went into a room and talked to
00:53 him. And did you tell him what a good school it
00:55 was? And Jackson, what's the best thing for you
00:57 about coming to this school? Democracy. You get your chance to speak in
01:02 your school. Okay then, and for you what was the best thing
01:06 about coming to this school for yourself? Just the help that we get off the teachers.
01:11 And do you think the inspector had a good, well deserved?
01:14 Yes. And what did the inspector ask you when he
01:16 came round with you? What our favourite lesson was, what we enjoy
01:20 in our favourite lesson, how good of the school you do it is and what you like.
01:27 And so you all feel Richard deserved getting the good judgement?
01:30 Yes.
