Amid the cost of living crisis we ask Glaswegians how they save money on holidays.

00:00 No travel plans this year, not enough money to go away.
00:03 So it will be setting up the hot tub in the garden and trying to think of things that we can do locally to try and save some money.
00:08 So that's one thing you could do is just have a staycation, stay at home and try and think of fun stuff to do.
00:13 Probably just like sometimes going for Airbnbs, messaging people like directly.
00:18 I've found that's worked in the past.
00:20 And then the other thing is when we have been travelling in the past,
00:22 used apps like Skyscanner to try and find cheaper flights and just book each thing yourself.
00:26 You can usually put together a holiday a bit cheaper if you want to go abroad than going through one of the big sites.
00:32 With your wages I would keep what you need for the bill and then anything that you have saved up,
00:37 put half of it in a bank account and the other half take out in cash and put it in a piggy bank.
00:42 If you need something for emergency, the piggy bank, the other half is in the bank account in case you need it.
00:45 Over time you realise that you've got a lot in the piggy bank, a lot in the bank, put it together and you get enough for a holiday.
00:49 Try and pay outwith the platform, but that's sometimes a wee bit dodgy.
00:53 But yeah, I mean, there you go, travel correspondent.
00:57 But yeah, anyway.
