00:00 Valentin, your first pro win and it is at the Giro d'Italia. How does it feel?

00:06 To be honest, I can't describe what I feel now. It's just amazing.

00:14 I was there to do a good result on the stage and why not win?

00:21 And now I have a stage win for my first pro win. It's amazing.

00:27 Is it special to win a battle against Romain Bardet, who is probably a big champion for you because he was in this team before?

00:35 Yeah, yeah, it's true. I watched him when I was young, when he finished on the podium of the Tour de France.

00:47 I dreamed of seeing him on TV and today I battled with him and I beat him.

00:58 How did you choose when to drop him?

01:02 After the stage, I saw on the profile that the last 4km was the hardest. I said, "OK, if I want to attack, it's in the last 4km."

01:18 So I waited, waited, waited for the last climb and when I saw the last 3km, maybe I attacked.

01:27 One last question in French. Your brother won a stage in the South of Italy last year. Did you want to imitate him?

01:38 Yeah, last year when he won, they made the champagne bottle in my name.

01:43 They made a mistake today, it will be in my name, but there will be no problem.

01:50 You made the beginning of the race so fast. What did you make of the breakaway once it was finally formed?

01:57 Yeah, a little bit at the start. Peloton was a little bit crazy. Everybody wanted to go in breakaway.

02:04 They just neutralized themselves all the time and it took a really long time until the first climb that breakaway formed.

02:14 Then we let the breakaway go, so everybody is happy for once.

02:21 And then Bahrain had to pull on the last climb, which was a really fast pace actually, and that's it.

02:29 Romain Bardet was the highest ranked in the breakaway. Did you see him as a threat?

02:34 No, of course he's a threat if you let him go for 10 minutes or something, but we knew how much we can spend today and how fast we can go until the final climb.

02:48 So it was all okay for us.

02:50 Were you happy to see some other teams like Ineos setting a pace instead of you guys?

02:56 Yeah, it was quite long until Bahrain started to pull. They did a pretty good job.

03:08 Also, I think Tiberi wanted to take some time for the white jersey as well. For sure he did a super good job. Today he had good legs.

03:18 So at the end, it's a good day for you?

03:20 Yeah, it's a good day. One more day done and one day less to Rome.

03:27 Kian, the stage after you won with Olaf Koi, you've been close to winning again with Jan Tratnik. Did you believe he would be the winner?

03:36 Yeah, for sure. Jan is really strong and he was, what I heard on the radio, pretty long in the front.

03:42 So yeah, we were really hoping to do it, but I think in the end a really strong performance from him.

03:47 How was your performance? It seems like Bahrain has tried to put you in difficulty.

03:53 Yeah, indeed. They made it pretty hard and I think I was maybe sitting a bit too far in the middle of the climb.

04:00 And then gave it to the line. The legs were okay, but I felt also still a bit the throat and everything.

04:09 So yeah, if this is the bad day, then I'm happy.

04:13 You've lost a bit of time, but not too much on Tiberi. How do you rate your day?

04:19 Yeah, exactly. It's not a big drama with what everything is still to come.

04:24 Then it's our second and I think in the big mountains the gaps will be bigger.

04:29 So yeah, hopefully we stay healthy and can continue the good work in the next week.
