00:00Are you looking to freshen up your winter wardrobe without breaking the bank?
00:04I'm here at the Uniting Op Shop on Dana Street to show you what items are available, how
00:08much they cost and the kind of outfits that you can put together.
00:11My name's Candice and I'm the shop manager here at Uniting Op Shop in Ballarat.
00:18We have some premium and designer brands, depending on what the brand is and potentially
00:26where it was made, what it's made out of.
00:30We have everyday brands, but we try to avoid putting out too much of the fast fashion brands.
00:38We also have homewares and menswear, plus size, plus size for men as well, and a little
00:46toy section, a little kid's section too, kid's clothing.
00:49Do you have any favourite pieces that have just come in at the moment?
00:52Yes, so I actually put some stuff in, it's not winter, but this is just, ah, just prepped,
00:59sorry, thank you, and it's 100% cotton, which is a really good, long-lasting, yeah, fabric.
01:08It takes away from that landfill, that carbon footprint that fast fashion brings, on top
01:18of contributing to the circular economy and recycling, it also means that we can raise
01:26more money in the Op Shop for the community, and we can then also service more people and
01:36our programs can get bigger and we can reach more people in the community who really need
01:41it at the moment.
