00:00Hi, this is Abhig Bhattacharya from Outlook Magazine.
00:08Today we have with us Manish Jaiswal, who is fighting on a BJP ticket from Hazaribagh
00:15Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand.
00:18Manish Jaiswal is currently the MLA from Hazaribagh and he is also son of BK Jaiswal, who was
00:25earlier a JVM leader.
00:27Sir, we would like to start with the main topic of the election in Hazaribagh.
00:36Look, we do this on the agenda of development.
00:44Development is our first priority.
00:49We have travelled around Hazaribagh, I have been to around 70% of the village in the last 2.5 months.
00:56The biggest problem here is that of development.
01:04There are three dams here, Konar, Kilaiya and Patratu.
01:12These three dams were built in the 1950s and 1960s.
01:18The rehabilitation of these dams has not been completed yet.
01:25There are CCL mines, there is displacement of them, there is displacement of NTPCs.
01:31All these things are still pending.
01:34So, this is the worst aspect.
01:40After that, the biggest challenge for us is the movement of railways, passenger trains.
01:46The number of passenger trains in old Hazaribagh, like in Badkakana, Patratu, Ramgarh is less.
01:55And the new Hazaribagh railway station or Barhi is yet to be built.
02:02This is the second challenge.
02:04The third challenge is the mining area.
02:07Because of the mining depth, the water level has gone down a lot.
02:14The area is facing an acute water shortage.
02:20The companies have become very proactive to provide relief, so that is a challenge.
02:27The fourth challenge is the rural road projects.
02:32We need to work on that as well.
02:35We have noted that these four issues are prominent in Hazaribagh.
02:42There are many other issues as well, but these four are prominent issues that cover the entire Lok Sabha.
02:49Manish ji, I am going from the Hazaribagh election to Jharkhand.
02:55One thing is coming up again and again, land jihad, vote jihad.
03:01What do you think about this?
03:03In the case of Hazaribagh and Jharkhand, how much is it important?
03:08Look, both types of jihad are going on right now.
03:13But it is a planned assault, it is a planned sabotage against the Hindu religion.
03:23And there are many examples of this.
03:27In land jihad, people are getting married as Hindus,
03:33and later it is found out that they were not Hindus, they were Muslims.
03:36And they are allowed to marry for two or three years in their religion.
03:41So when a girl gets married, she is getting trapped.
03:45And after that, in extortion and other tribal cases, the land is being looted.
03:52So to stop this, what is your plan, to stop this in Jharkhand?
03:57We run the awareness, all the social organizations, all the political parties, not all.
04:05There are pro-political parties to support such things,
04:13who are standing with a society, who commit every crime, every crime.
04:21But wherever we get such an opportunity, we fight for it.
04:26We try to stop these things.
04:29In the eyes of the government, we want laws to be made.
04:32Hazaribagh is known nationally, apart from so many other things, for Ram Navami violence.
04:39It is said in Ram Navami that there are reports of attacks from the mosque,
04:45attacks from here, a lot of these things.
04:48If you become an MP in Hazaribagh, you are the current MLA,
04:51if you become an MP, what do you think about this in Ram Navami?
04:56Look, you are grossly mistaken.
05:02In Hazaribagh, the history of Ram Navami is 100 and some years.
05:06106 years.
05:08And out of this, only 3 years of riots have taken place.
05:121973, 1989, and now 2016.
05:171989-2016, yes.
05:19This has happened 3 times, which is even less than 3%.
05:24There can be many other factors, many other reasons for this happening.
05:29Ram Navami is the biggest festival here, the most famous festival.
05:34It is a festival where a lot of pomp, show, and a lot of clothes are made religiously.
05:41And there is no scope for riots.
05:46The community that makes this festival,
05:49they never want any riots to take place.
05:54So, this misunderstanding of the whole nation...
05:57Because this has spread nationally.
05:59The whole nation should correct themselves,
06:02that in the history of 106 years, why did this happen for 3 years?
06:05And there can be many reasons for this happening.
06:07And who started it, who didn't, there are many factors.
06:10Debatable factors.
06:11If you debate, then you will come to know,
06:14how did it happen, why did it happen, who started it, how did it end.
06:19But this is not a riot because of Ram Navami.
06:25Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is saying that after Hemansur's arrest,
06:29Adivasi vote has been consolidated in favour of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
06:33What is Adivasi vote supporting?
06:34Is Adivasi vote going towards JMM this time?
06:37You will come to know on the 4th.
06:41What is it?
06:43All the land that Hemansur NBG has bought today,
06:48all that land belongs to the tribals.
06:52All that land belongs to the tribals, not to any other community.
06:56So, there is a clear message among the tribals
06:59that they have gone to jail for corruption.
07:03They have not gone to jail for patriotism or for doing a good deed.
07:08Two days ago, the Prime Minister was rallying for the Lok Sabha.
07:14He asked the audience, there must be around 2 lakh people,
07:18that should the corrupt people and those who do wrong go to jail or not?
07:23People responded that they should definitely go to jail.
07:26So, this is completely false.
07:29We are seeing that more than 70% of the tribal vote
07:34is with the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
07:37Sir, last question, what will happen in Jharkhand in the 14th seat this time?
07:41In the 14th seat, there will be 14 seats.
07:44Be assured, there will be 14 seats in the 14th seat.
07:47And there is a very big wave on the side of the BJP.
07:51It is going on on the side of Narendra Modi.
