00:03 - How about a game seven tonight?
00:04 We mentioned that we have it in Vancouver.
00:07 3-3, the winner will face the Dallas Stars
00:10 in the Western Conference Final on the NHL side.
00:13 Let's start with Vancouver head coach Rick Tocchett,
00:17 the mindset for his Canucks heading into tonight.
00:20 - Confidence, it's all about confidence.
00:22 Believe in what you're doing as an individual
00:24 and as a team, and then plan.
00:26 You know, I think when you get out there,
00:29 you wanna be a difference maker and you want the puck.
00:33 I feel that when we're at our best,
00:35 game five is everybody wanted something,
00:39 like whether it to be a support guy
00:41 or whether it be the guy back and something,
00:43 you could tell, and I think we gotta get to that attitude,
00:46 especially in game seven.
00:47 But you can't play, you know,
00:49 there's the word desperation, everybody uses it at game seven.
00:52 Desperation is just not running around and panicking.
00:55 Desperation is there's certain spots you gotta be in,
00:58 there's some plays that you gotta make under desperation,
01:01 there's plays that you gotta have to get the puck out.
01:03 That's desperation to me, so that's kind of the message.
01:06 - Yeah, you gotta win, is really the message,
01:11 is you gotta win, all this other stuff,
01:13 I don't know what that really is, seriously.
01:16 You gotta go out and knock somebody's head off,
01:19 and you gotta win, and you gotta forecheck
01:23 and pound people into the wall,
01:25 and you gotta attack the crease,
01:26 and you gotta shoot the puck.
01:28 Whoever shoots the puck tonight on net the most
01:32 and hits people the most will win the game.
01:37 That'll be that.
01:38 - That's what it's all about.
01:39 - None of this other nonsense.
01:41 Who's gonna pound it into the crease and score goals,
01:44 the team that scores more goals wins.
01:47 - Yeah, and who's, listen,
01:49 and I go back to this a lot in games like this,
01:52 and I mentioned this point to you before,
01:54 who's goalie's gonna make more key saves,
01:56 especially when you have, you know,
01:59 not exactly Brodeur versus Waugh here tonight
02:02 in this Edmonton-Vancouver game.
02:03 So you got this kid, Slivos, who's been in there,
02:06 you've got Skinner, which one of them
02:08 is actually gonna make big saves in the third period
02:11 or overtime of this game tonight,
02:13 and that's gonna be the key to sending them forward.
02:16 Connor McDavid, as always, Scotty,
02:19 very excited for game number seven tonight
02:22 for the Edmonton Oilers.
02:24 - You know, nothing to be satisfied or excited about.
02:29 I mean, it's, like you said,
02:32 we just bought ourselves another day,
02:34 and I would expect the same level of urgency
02:38 and desperation from our group.
02:39 I would expect Vancouver to play a better game as well,
02:42 and I would expect it to be a highly competitive
02:46 great game seven.
02:48 - Wow, you really are something, kid.
02:52 Honestly, my ears are evil.
02:53 They have superior players
02:57 and superior goal-scoring talent.
03:00 They have four or five guys, Hyman, Nugent Hopkins,
03:05 Kane, Dreisaitl, and McDavid, just to name a few.
03:10 Those five right there are better than anyone
03:14 that Vancouver has because Erickson has been,
03:18 is that his name?
03:19 He's been worthless in the entire Stanley Cup
03:23 playoff season.
03:24 - Patterson.
03:24 - Patterson.
03:25 He's done nothing, and then Besser's got blood clots,
03:30 whatever that means.
03:31 Like, when I hear blood clots, that doesn't sound good.
03:34 Like, that's like, people get blood clots,
03:35 they start dying.
03:37 All I know is that he's not playing,
03:39 and he's the only guy who scores goals.
03:41 So you got five guys that score goals.
03:43 And what happened the other night?
03:45 Five to one.
03:46 They just are more dangerous.
03:49 So I wanted Vancouver the whole series,
03:54 and everyone knows that, but I'm not stupid.
03:57 I hope Vancouver wins, but I don't think they will.
04:00 I think Edmonton's got all the guys
04:03 that are the weapon guys.
04:04 They have weapons.
04:05 - They got weapons, and that's why they're
04:08 minus a buck 60 tonight on the road,
04:11 because they have the big guns.
04:13 These are the games, Scotty, that Connor McDavid
04:16 and Drysidel and Hyman and Evander Kane
04:20 and all these guys, these are the games
04:22 that they get paid the big bucks for, right here,
04:25 to get Edmonton through
04:27 into the Western Conference Finals.
