00:22 Ron, as an actor, a writer, director and producer in this industry for many decades,
00:28 your projects have touched the hearts of audiences around the world.
00:32 I grew up on your films, literally. The first film that I loved as a child was Willow.
00:38 I mean, and that love is pretty universally held in Indian country, I gotta say.
00:44 Anybody who's seen Reservation Dogs? Elora Dannen is a character.
00:50 Anyways, your mastery of storytelling across film and television, narrative and documentary,
00:57 and comedy, drama, every genre in between, has also inspired generations of filmmakers
01:04 and will continue to do so for years to come.
01:08 I remember first seeing Ron's work, like I said, in Willow.
01:11 And it's rare that a director speaks to you at two fully different stages of your life.
01:18 Willow taught me to love film, gave me my first hero that I worshipped,
01:22 that I was convinced was Native American, Mad Martigan.
01:27 But then again, you got me through college with Arrested Development.
01:31 I want you to narrate my life.
01:36 The, you know, life in the broadest lens is a great comedy, and you were the voice of that.
01:42 And sometimes I actually do hear your voice narrating my life
01:46 when something is particularly Arrested Development-y.
01:50 But here we are, here you are at Cannes with your new documentary, Jim Henson, Idea Man.
01:57 Ron took great care with this project to craft a meaningful portrait of the iconic Jim Henson,
02:04 Mazel Tov, on a global and personal level.
02:10 He used never-before-seen home movies and interviewed those who knew him best
02:15 to bring his work back to the front of cultural conversation.
02:19 I very much miss that handmade feel of Jim Henson that we were all raised on,
02:24 so I can't wait to see this one.
02:27 This is standard for you, Ron, using your talent to shine a light on the achievement of others.
02:34 Ron inspires excellence in everyone he works with and motivates audiences to do the same.
