00:00The last dance, how does it feel?

00:03It's really a day of emotion, full of different kind of feeling, but I'm really happy to be here

00:13because also it was for me a tough Giro, especially in the last 8-9 days, but I really fight to arrive here

00:22and I'm really happy to be under the sun of Rome.

00:25Alberto, you were close to the top 3 last year in Rome, the finish is not exactly the same, but how special is it?

00:32Yeah, it's quite a special finish, also it's much different than sprinting on normal tarmac, being on cobbles,

00:39so I think you have to go maybe on a bigger gear and be already at the front, it's hard to pass guys, I believe.

00:48The finish is not on exactly the same cobbles as last year, but I think they are even more rough,

00:54so hopefully we can be in the top 5 in the last corner and then sprint for the win.

01:01You've won Madrid, is it your goal to win Rome and then Paris?

01:06Yeah, of course, I think it's every sprinter's dream to win, especially in the final stages of the Grand Tour,

01:11and that remains the same for me today.

01:13Would you call that the queen stage of the sprinters?

01:16I guess so, I think it's not quite on the level of the Champs-Élysées, but for sure in the Giro it's the most beautiful stage for the sprinters.

01:24How different is it to sprint in a big city like Rome with a different tarmac?

01:30Yeah, it's such a fantastic feeling, we expect big crowds today, and it also finishes the Grand Tour on a good note, it's quite the spectacle.

01:41What would be the way for you to win?

01:43I mean, I'd change nothing, we keep going to race in a good position in the final, and hopefully we can get the perfect run,

01:51and for me I'll be happy if I can just open up and have a sprint today.

01:55Johnny, second time that you will enter Rome with the Maglia Ciccomino, how different is it from last year?

02:02We didn't see you really in the sprint last year, but what is your motivation today?

02:07Yeah, last year, some days before Rome I was not feeling super good, and for this sprint I was still not feeling good,

02:20so I couldn't sprint that much, I was having not super good feelings, but we took home this big goal that we were having in the end from the beginning of the Giro.

02:34This year, yeah, I'm feeling better, more or less the course is the same, we have the jersey to celebrate, we have a goal also today to bring home, and we will try our best.
