00:00As-salamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, alhamdulillahi wabarakatuhu, wasalamu ala
00:18ibadihi allatheena as-tafa amma ba'an, fa'udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim, bismillahi
00:24ar-rahmani ar-raheem, allahumma salli ala sayyidina wa nabiyyina Muhammad, wa ala aali
00:28sallim.
00:29We have been talking about the rights of people for many weeks now, we have been talking about
00:38the rights of parents, the rights of children, the rights of husbands, the rights of wives,
00:47the rights of employees, the rights of employers, the rights of neighbours.
00:52We have been talking about the rights of some people and why we are talking about the rights
01:01of people.
01:02The reason we are talking about the rights of people is that killing someone's rights
01:07is a type of injustice.
01:08Injustice is something that Allah does not like at all and on the Day of Judgment, if
01:12a person has killed someone's rights, he will not be able to go to heaven until he
01:19gives back the rights of those people.
01:22And giving back the rights will be in the form of good deeds and if someone has killed
01:32a lot of people's rights and he distributes his good deeds to all of them, then he will
01:39have nothing left.
01:42That is why it is very important for us to understand the rights of people, to know them
01:48and to give them their rights so that there is no injustice towards anyone.
01:53Today, we will talk about the rights of people in general and especially the rights of Muslims
02:01and the rights of humanity.
02:03Because our religion recommends us to give back the rights of Muslims and Islam also
02:15recommends and encourages us to give back the rights of other people.
02:20There is a blessed hadith in which Prophet Muhammad PBUH has told us about the rights
02:27of Muslims.
02:29Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
02:34that a Muslim has six rights over another Muslim.
02:41The companions asked, which are they?
02:44Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, and this narration is in different books with a little change
02:49but the gist of the hadith is the same.
02:57Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
03:00that when you meet him, greet him.
03:03This is his right.
03:05And in another narration,
03:08that is to answer his salam.
03:10So, greeting and answering salam, if we take both the narrations,
03:15then this is the right of a Muslim.
03:19In a blessed hadith, Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
03:22I swear by him in whose hands is my life.
03:28You cannot enter paradise until you have faith.
03:33And then he said,
03:36And you cannot have faith until you love each other.
03:42For the perfection of faith, it is necessary that you love each other.
03:48And then he said,
03:49that I should not tell you about that thing, that if you do that,
03:53then you will start loving each other.
03:56Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
03:58Spread the salam among yourselves.
04:00This is the tradition of a true Muslim.
04:03Greet everyone.
04:05Greet everyone.
04:08Generally, the etiquette of salam is told.
04:10As it is told in the blessed hadith,
04:13that if someone is young, he should greet the elder one.
04:16If someone is walking, he should greet the one who is sitting.
04:23If someone is alone, he should greet the one who is sitting.
04:27These are the etiquettes of salam.
04:30These etiquettes should be taken care of.
04:33But apart from this,
04:35if someone wants to greet more than these etiquettes,
04:40then this is even better.
04:42For example, the younger one should greet the elder one.
04:44But if the elder one should greet the younger one,
04:46then this is such a good thing.
04:48Greet the younger children.
04:50Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to greet the younger children as well.
04:54This is also a tradition.
04:57In a blessed hadith, Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
05:01that the one who walks in salam, he is free from kibr, he is free from arrogance.
05:10That person does not have arrogance in him.
05:12He greets everyone.
05:15He greets the younger ones.
05:17He greets the one with less social status than him.
05:21He greets the poor.
05:23He greets his employees.
05:25He greets everyone.
05:27This person is free from arrogance.
05:30But going back,
05:32that this is the right of Muslims,
05:34to greet people.
05:36And if someone greets us,
05:39then we should reply with salam.
05:40And the way to greet is,
05:43Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
05:46At least you can add Assalamualaikum or Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu to it.
05:53And if you look at it,
05:55these are the rights of Muslims.
05:57This is to spread love.
05:59You are praying for someone.
06:01May you be safe.
06:03May Allah's blessings be upon you.
06:05May blessings of Allah be upon you.
06:08This is a prayer for him.
06:10And the one who replies will say,
06:12Oh, to you too,
06:14Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
06:16May blessings of Allah be upon you too.
06:18May blessings of Allah be upon you too.
06:20May blessings of Allah be upon you too.
06:22And it is in the Quran that
06:24at least you should reply with that much
06:26or more than that.
06:29That is, if someone has said Assalamualaikum,
06:32at least you should say Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
06:34But it is better to give more than that
06:36and add Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
06:40If someone has said Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu,
06:42then it is necessary to add Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
06:44Add Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
06:47And till Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu,
06:49Salam is up to here.
06:51But,
06:53notice that prayers are being given.
06:55But,
06:57when will love come from this?
06:59As I mentioned in the second Hadith-e-Mubarakah.
07:01Love will come from this when
07:03this Salam will come from the heart.
07:05We will not make it just a traditional thing.
07:07Often people make it a traditional thing.
07:11And in that,
07:13what is prayer?
07:15Sometimes it becomes a curse.
07:17Assalamualaikum, Assalamualaikum, Assalamualaikum.
07:19Now, what is Assalamualaikum?
07:21Assalamualaikum means death on you.
07:25This is what the hypocrites used to say.
07:28Death on you.
07:30Now you see, this has become a curse.
07:32But,
07:34even if someone pronounces the words correctly,
07:35Assalamualaikum, Assalamualaikum, Assalamualaikum,
07:38and greets people like this.
07:40But, in reality,
07:42love will come
07:44when Salam will come from the heart
07:46and greets everyone.
07:48Assalamualaikum, Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu,
07:51Waalaikumussalam, Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
07:54Many times, people answer,
07:56you say Assalamualaikum,
07:58they say Assalamualaikum.
08:01Usually, this is because
08:03it is not coming from the heart.
08:05Usually.
08:07I am not saying this for everyone.
08:09But, usually it happens
08:11that it has become a tradition.
08:13And, unfortunately,
08:15we are so influenced
08:17by Western culture
08:19that many of us, young boys and girls,
08:22instead of saying Salam,
08:24say Hi,
08:26Good Morning,
08:28Good Evening.
08:30See, you say Assalamualaikum,
08:32give Dua,
08:33if you want to say Good Morning,
08:35then add Good Morning.
08:37That is also a Dua.
08:39May Allah make your morning good,
08:41may Allah make your evening good.
08:43Right?
08:45But, Salam does not change.
08:47First, Assalamualaikum, Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
08:49And, after that,
08:51Waalaikumussalam, Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
08:53If someone wants to say Dua,
08:55do not give it as an object.
08:57But,
08:59as long as
09:01that is also Dua,
09:03I do not think there is any issue in it.
09:05But, please,
09:07not because I am so influenced
09:09by some other culture
09:11that I am considering it
09:13better than my own religion.
09:15I am considering it better than that.
09:17Do not do this.
09:19So, it is the right of a Muslim
09:21to be saluted
09:23and the person
09:25who is saluted,
09:27should say Waalaikumussalam and answer him.
09:30The second right,
09:31Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
09:33If someone calls you for Dawah,
09:35accept his Dawah.
09:37Answer him.
09:39Answer him.
09:41Means, accept him.
09:43This is the right of a Muslim
09:45to accept the Dawah of a Muslim.
09:48And, the Dawah should be such
09:50that it should be given from the heart.
09:52Then,
09:54the love increases.
09:56There should not be any pretence.
09:58There should not be any pretence.
09:59There should not be any show-off.
10:01There should not be any show-off.
10:03There is so much show-off in our culture.
10:05Only the show-off of money,
10:07that I have so much money.
10:09So, I am doing such a big Dawah.
10:11I am doing such a big Waleema.
10:13I am doing such a big wedding.
10:15We have already talked about it.
10:17Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
10:20The best Nikah is the one
10:22which is the easiest.
10:24The best Nikah is the one
10:26which is the easiest.
10:28So, that is a different issue.
10:30But, right now,
10:32I am talking about Dawah.
10:34There is so much show-off in it.
10:36People show off their money.
10:38Look, if there is no sincerity,
10:40if you don't invite someone for the sake of Allah,
10:42then how will the love increase?
10:44So, if someone invites with sincerity,
10:46give it first.
10:48Secondly,
10:50if someone is inviting with sincerity,
10:52then it is his right to accept it.
10:55There can be some excuses.
10:57There can be some legal excuses.
10:59There can be some personal excuses.
11:01What is legal excuse?
11:03If you think that in that Dawah,
11:05you are talking against the religion.
11:07You are talking about such a thing
11:09which is upsetting Allah
11:11and Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
11:13Of course, on such a Dawah,
11:15you should politely
11:17and with wisdom,
11:19you should refuse.
11:21Because, no one should be happy
11:23by upsetting Allah.
11:25And, sometimes,
11:27if someone invites you for the Dawah
11:29and you are busy
11:31or if you already have a commitment,
11:33then it is a valid reason.
11:35It is a valid excuse
11:37to say that I am sorry
11:39but I already have a commitment
11:41so I won't be able to come.
11:43But, if there is no excuse,
11:45neither legal nor personal,
11:47then you should accept the Dawah.
11:49This is the right of Muslims.
11:51And, you see,
11:53this also increases love.
11:55Salam increases love.
11:57Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
11:59وَاجَزَسْ تَنصَحَكَ فَانصَحْ لَهُ
12:03If someone asks for your advice,
12:06if someone asks for your advice,
12:08then give him a good advice.
12:10Give him a good advice.
12:12Give him a good advice.
12:14You should give such advice
12:16that,
12:18if I were in his place,
12:20what would I do?
12:22Such advice.
12:24اِنَّمَا الْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤْتَمَنُونَ
12:27اَوْ كَمَا قَالَ
12:29Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
12:31if someone asks for your advice,
12:33he is a trustee.
12:35He is a trustee.
12:37We have to fulfill that trust.
12:40This is his right.
12:42Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
12:44وَإِذَا عَتَى صَافَ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ فَشَمِّتْهُ
12:48If he sneezes,
12:50and sneezes and says,
12:51الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
12:53which is a Sunnah,
12:55after sneezing,
12:57it is a must.
12:59If we sneeze,
13:01we should take care of our manners,
13:03inside the tissue paper,
13:05or cover our nose.
13:08But after that,
13:10it is a must to say,
13:12الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
13:14Excuse me.
13:16If you want to say,
13:18excuse me,
13:19there is no harm in saying it,
13:21but before that, say,
13:23And if you hear someone sneezing,
13:26Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
13:28reply to him,
13:30يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهِ
13:33that have mercy on Allah.
13:35Prayers are being given.
13:37Prayers are being given for sneezing.
13:39This is his right,
13:41that if he sneezes,
13:43and if he says,
13:45if we listen to that,
13:47we should say,
13:49يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهِ
13:51and pray for him.
13:54And Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
13:56وَإِذَا مَرِضَ فَعُدْهُمْ
13:58If he falls ill,
14:00we should return him.
14:03If he falls ill,
14:05we should return him.
14:07He also has manners,
14:09how can we return him?
14:11You should go to him,
14:13give him courage,
14:14and say, Inshallah,
14:16don't worry,
14:18your mistakes are being purified,
14:20there is goodness in it,
14:22Inshallah, you will be fine.
14:24In a hadith,
14:26it is said that
14:28you should hold his hand,
14:30but you should think
14:32that he is not unlawful.
14:34You should give him courage,
14:36you should sit with him
14:38as much as he wants.
14:40If you understand,
14:42as it is said in Sunnah,
14:44he is distressed,
14:46he is not feeling well,
14:48then you should ask him
14:50about his condition
14:52and return him,
14:54as opposed to sitting
14:56with him for so long
14:58that he starts to feel pain.
15:00But see,
15:02this is also sharing love.
15:04It is his right
15:06that if there is a patient,
15:08we should take care of him.
15:10وَإِذَا مَاتَ فَاسْحَبْهُمْ
15:12Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
15:14go to his funeral.
15:16And what is a funeral?
15:18A funeral is a prayer of forgiveness.
15:20Even after his death,
15:22I have not forgotten my brother.
15:24I am praying to Allah,
15:34or whatever prayer
15:36we receive for the funeral.
15:38But see,
15:40a funeral is a prayer of forgiveness.
15:42It is a prayer for him.
15:44It is a request for him.
15:46This is our religion, Islam.
15:48That we should always
15:50ask for his well-being.
15:52We should always ask for the well-being
15:54of our Muslim brother.
15:56From greeting him,
15:58to accepting his invitation,
16:00to giving him good advice,
16:02to visiting him,
16:04to saying Alhamdulillah
16:06to his death.
16:08Even after his death,
16:10we should go to his funeral
16:12and pray for his forgiveness.
16:14This is such a beautiful religion.
16:16This is the religion of Fitrah.
16:18May Allah enable us to understand our religion.
16:20InshaAllah, we will take a short break
16:22and after that we will be back
16:24with your questions.
16:26You can email your questions
16:28at dinfitrah at arydigital.tv
16:30InshaAllah, we will take a short break.
16:32Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
16:34Welcome back, after the break
16:36we are back with your questions.
16:38A brother has asked a question
16:40and I think it is a very good
16:42and valid question.
16:44He has asked,
16:46that you are inviting us
16:48and you are passing on
16:50a message to us.
16:52You are thinking of making
16:54a Muslim a Muslim
16:56while many Muslims
16:58are becoming non-Muslims
17:00and there are many non-Muslims
17:02and they should be worried
17:04about becoming Muslims.
17:06So, what are you doing?
17:08I think it is a very good
17:10question.
17:12Thank you.
17:14JazakAllah Khairan
17:16This question of yours
17:18is a very valid question.
17:20First of all,
17:22I would like to say that
17:24if you look at the ratio
17:26in the whole world,
17:28if you look at the official data,
17:30according to the official data,
17:32the number of people
17:34who are entering Islam
17:36is very high
17:38instead of those
17:40who are leaving Islam.
17:42Number one.
17:44And the situation of other religions
17:46is also such that
17:48there are not as many people
17:50entering those religions
17:52as there are people entering Islam.
17:54Secondly,
17:56what should we do
17:58to enter Islam?
18:01What should we do?
18:04First of all,
18:06we should read a book.
18:09We should give a book to someone.
18:11Right?
18:12And this is a valid way
18:14that we give someone
18:16a reading material
18:18to pass on information.
18:21But more importantly,
18:23we should
18:25show people
18:27a practical role model
18:29so that people
18:31can become like us.
18:33This is the most important
18:35way of Dawah.
18:37The number of people
18:39who are
18:40entering Islam
18:42is very low.
18:44If you talk to them,
18:46you will see
18:48a common factor
18:50except for
18:52some exceptions.
18:54But majority of them
18:56are those
18:58who are impressed
19:00by someone
19:02in their life.
19:04They get encouragement
19:06from someone.
19:08They say,
19:10he is a Muslim
19:12and he is following
19:14the religion of Islam.
19:16So, Islam is such a good religion.
19:18You should talk to those people
19:20who are entering Islam
19:22from some other religion.
19:24And the opposite is also there.
19:26Our youth today
19:28are in search
19:30of a role model.
19:33Unfortunately,
19:35many youth
19:37do not declare
19:38their faith.
19:40But their doubts
19:42and suspicions
19:44are increasing.
19:46Atheism
19:48is entering
19:50many youth.
19:52Unfortunately,
19:54it has many reasons.
19:56The biggest reason is
19:58selfishness.
20:00A person loves himself
20:02so much that
20:04he does not tolerate
20:06any restrictions.
20:08He wants to deny
20:10or reject
20:12or does not want to accept.
20:14So, this is the biggest reason.
20:16But there is another reason.
20:18He sees
20:20that some people
20:22who are Muslims
20:24but their morals
20:26and character
20:28and language
20:30are like this.
20:32So, he becomes hateful.
20:34Satan puts superstitions
20:36in his heart.
20:38Making a Muslim
20:40a Muslim
20:42is a very important task.
20:44Allah says in the Quran
20:46O you who believe,
20:48fear Allah,
20:50and do not die
20:52unless you are Muslims.
20:54O you who believe,
20:56the message to the Muslims
20:58is to adopt
21:00Allah's righteousness
21:02as it is the right to adopt righteousness.
21:04And see,
21:05O you who believe,
21:07fear Allah,
21:09and do not die
21:11unless you are Muslims.
21:13Now think,
21:15the message to the Muslims
21:17is to adopt Islam.
21:19One thing is clear
21:21that you have to
21:23take your Islam
21:25to death.
21:27It should not happen
21:29that there is an earthquake
21:31and you fall.
21:33So, your death
21:35should not happen.
21:37And the proof for this
21:39is found in the second verse
21:41in Surah An-Nisa
21:43O you who believe,
21:45believe in Allah and His Messenger
21:47and in the Book
21:49which was revealed
21:51to His Messenger.
21:53O you who believe,
21:55believe in Allah
21:57and His Messenger.
21:59O you who believe,
22:01believe in Allah
22:03and His Messenger
22:05and in the Book
22:07which was revealed to His Messenger.
22:10The message is being conveyed
22:12to the believers.
22:14O you who believe,
22:16do not die unless you are Muslims
22:18because becoming a Muslim
22:20is a task.
22:22You have also said
22:24that you watch all my episodes
22:26and may Allah reward you
22:28for this.
22:30So, you must be noting
22:32that all these
22:33episodes
22:35are talking about
22:37the issues
22:39and the rights of people
22:41which Islam teaches us.
22:43Right?
22:45We are talking about
22:47society, relations and morality.
22:49Right?
22:51Where are all these things
22:53in our society?
22:55People are not being given
22:57rights and people are being
22:59oppressed.
23:01So, all these things
23:03are in accordance
23:05with Allah's commandment.
23:07O you who believe,
23:09do not die unless you are Muslims
23:11because becoming a Muslim
23:13is a task.
23:15Islam is demanding
23:17from you.
23:19Allah and His Messenger
23:21are demanding from you.
23:23O you who believe,
23:25believe in Allah
23:27and His Messenger.
23:29O you who believe,
23:31believe in Allah
23:33and His Messenger.
23:35So, this is also
23:37a place of Dawah
23:39and
23:41I understand this
23:43that this is the highest.
23:45If we become
23:47complete Muslims
23:49then the rest of the Muslims
23:51who have doubts
23:53in their hearts
23:55especially our youth
23:57they are looking at their elders.
23:59They want role models.
24:01If we become
24:03complete Muslims
24:05then God willing
24:07their faith will be strengthened
24:09and also
24:11those who are not Muslims
24:13will see that
24:15Islam is such a beautiful religion.
24:17Their family structure is so beautiful.
24:19How husband and wife
24:21love each other.
24:23How they treat their neighbours.
24:25How they treat
24:27Muslims and non-Muslims.
24:29How good their behaviour is.
24:31When they see all these things
24:33they will want to accept Islam.
24:35They will also want to become Muslims.
24:37How beautiful this religion is.
24:39So, please
24:41we should not underestimate this at all.
24:44We should not consider this to be small at all.
24:47Right.
24:49Because, as I said
24:51a great scholar has passed away.
24:54He said that
24:56a person's Dawah should be
24:58as much as
25:00Allah has placed in his body.
25:02I repeat
25:04a person's Dawah should be
25:06as much as
25:08Allah has placed in his body.
25:10For example,
25:12if someone has a 6 foot body
25:14then he will have a 6 inch body.
25:16Right.
25:18So, this means that
25:21approximately 12 times more
25:23if I am calculating correctly
25:26many times more
25:28Allah has placed in his body.
25:29The tongue is a small thing.
25:31If our Dawah is only with the tongue
25:33and not with the body
25:35then this is a very small Dawah.
25:37The real Dawah is with the human body
25:40with the human character
25:42and for that it is necessary
25:44that we become Muslims.
25:46That is why
25:48we start with this
25:50that how can we become good Muslims.
25:52Right.
25:54And this is also that
25:56if we do not become good Muslims
25:57then from the side of Allah
25:59there is a lot of criticism.
26:01Today, the condition of the Muslim Ummah
26:04unfortunately
26:06is a big test
26:08but along with this
26:10there is also Allah's anger
26:12because we are no longer Muslims.
26:14We have only become
26:16traditional Muslims.
26:18We have denied the words of Allah
26:20and the Prophet of Allah.
26:22Often we do not offer Salah
26:24which is obligatory.
26:25Those who offer Salah
26:27do not protect their eyes
26:29nor their tongue
26:31nor their ears.
26:33They do not control their anger.
26:35They lie,
26:37cheat,
26:39harm people.
26:41They oppress people
26:43wherever they can.
26:45There is injustice
26:47and a lot of things are not happening.
26:49So first of all
26:51we need to correct ourselves.
26:53How can we go to someone
26:55and tell him to become a Muslim?
26:57He will say,
26:59where are the Muslims?
27:01So what should we show them?
27:03Who is our role model?
27:05Of course, we have the guidance.
27:07We can tell them to read
27:09the biography of the Prophet of Allah.
27:11But
27:13we have to show the religion
27:15as the religion of nature
27:17that this is a practical Islam
27:19not a 1400 year old Islam in books.
27:21May Allah enable me to explain my point.
27:23May Allah bless you.
27:25You asked a very good question.
27:27May Allah enable me, you and all of us
27:29to become those Muslims
27:31that Allah wants us to be.
