00:07 Fargood is such a long time. I think I will be here for now, but I don't know if Fargood.
00:15 Philippines is such a good place. Philippines is my home, but for now, I'd say I love Spain.
00:20 I'm in love with this and this is my home for now.
00:23 Hello everyone! This is Anjali of AXIS Travel and today I'm very excited to tell you my story about
00:29 moving to Spain.
00:30 [Music]
00:37 I'm going to be here in Madrid for 6 months and it has been amazing. Best time of my life, you know.
00:43 I really wanted to take my Master's program in IE.
00:46 The IE tower, that's so hard to find. It's not in Google Maps.
00:50 So it was just a matter of time. I was just like waiting for the perfect moment to execute it
00:55 because when there was AXIS Travel, it was almost impossible for me to get out.
00:59 But during the pandemic, I was like this is the perfect time to go and explore other things
01:04 while travel is almost, you know, not existing.
01:08 I'm over the moon. I didn't know it was happening. I'm so happy.
01:13 I've been prepared for this move for such a long time. I just knew that at some point in my life, I have to do it.
01:19 It just happened during COVID. I decided to execute it during a crisis because I didn't want to be unhappy anymore.
01:27 Philippines is my home. I love the Philippines. I love everything. I was born and raised in the Philippines.
01:32 I was telling myself, okay, if I'm going to live somewhere, you know, like settling down.
01:39 I want to do it somewhere where I feel like I will grow. I will do everything I want to do.
01:45 Let's visit my bathroom. Where do I put this? I'm just kidding.
01:50 I knew from the very beginning, it will be always Madrid.
01:54 I feel like I belong here. The lifestyle, the food, you know, how people live their lives.
02:00 They're so calm, you know, relaxed.
02:02 First hike outside Madrid. So beautiful.
02:06 I think for me, visa processing is not really difficult if you have your complete documents and a purpose, you know.
02:13 People get denied when you don't have a purpose.
02:15 It's super fast. So you just make an appointment, you go, and that's it.
02:20 Like a clear purpose. For me, I entered Spain for my master program.
02:25 And I'm just going to find ways to extend my stay here after I finish my master program.
02:30 Because honestly, as much as possible, I don't want to go back anymore because I've already started a new life here.
02:37 And I want to continue this.
02:39 Adjustment was hard in school in the beginning because I've been an entrepreneur since I was 16 years old.
02:45 Like it was very hard adjustment from an entrepreneur to a student.
02:52 I felt like, oh, I can be something else. I can be someone else.
02:56 You know, I think the universe really gives you back when you put good things, you know, into the world.
03:06 Traveling is very sacred for me. Aside from I do it for a living, I just travel.
03:12 It is the best thing I'm good at, you know, like in selling, in marketing.
03:17 Ayunla, thank you very much. And I hope to see you around.
03:20 I know this is my purpose to travel and make people travel.
03:25 This is why I wrote a book, Meet the World, during the pandemic when I was so sad because I felt like a part of me was taken away from me, you know.
03:33 And I don't even do traveling for Instagram, for photos. I do it for work.
03:38 I feel like whenever I do it, I find my meaning in life.
03:41 As much as I used to make with AXS Travel, I now rely on my small businesses like Happy Lab, the kombucha business, and my podcast, my book, my Seven Continents agenda.
03:54 But the thing is, I already have peace of mind, you know.
03:57 I don't need to make the money I used to make with AXS Travel to be happy.
04:03 I am really at this place in my life right now where I can say I'm ready to settle down.
04:10 And I've done almost everything in my life that I wanted to do.
04:16 There are still some things that I look forward to.
04:19 Even I'm still far from my family, I know, you know, this move will be beneficial in the future just in case I want to have kids.
04:27 Kahit di ako mga pag-asawa for now, I'm very happy. The feeling is like you found the one.
04:34 So, ang dami nagtatanong sa'kin, "Uuwi pa ba ako?" Hindi ko alam. Let's see.
04:38 For me, Spain is my soulmate, you know. Madrid is my everything.
04:43 Even I don't speak Spanish, I feel like I am finally home. And this is something I've been craving for my entire life.
04:50 Life in Spain has returned to normal, you know. And I'm very grateful to see it and to leave it and to feel it that I don't have to be afraid anymore.
05:02 Everybody's living a normal life here. Even the old people are all out, riding the public transportation, walking around.
05:08 So, I am very blessed and grateful to have experienced the normalcy, you know.
05:14 It's normal and I'm very, very grateful for it.
05:18 Okay, this is my life in Madrid and I love it. I'm in love with it, ridiculously as in.
05:28 No regrets at all. I love my life and everything I'm doing right now. I don't think I will ever regret it.
05:34 It's not easy. You have to be prepared mentally, emotionally, and financially.
05:39 The most important for me is financially. You need to have a plan, you know.
05:43 A very strategic plan on how you will support your life.
05:47 Life is short, you know. We deserve the best. If you work hard for it, you also deserve to live it.
05:52 And I'm living my life because I've worked really, really hard for this.
05:56 And it wasn't given to me by anyone. I've worked for it. And I'm very proud of it.
06:01 I still can't believe I'm really living here.
