00:03 Let's finish the hockey, why don't we?
00:04 Cuz we have a huge game tonight.
00:06 One more, you want Pete here saying, what could you do?
00:11 Won one game, everybody was playing tight and
00:14 they just happened to get a rush and beat us.
00:16 Here's La Violette making excuses.
00:19 >> I mean, it was a tight game.
00:20 I mean, chances were pretty much even.
00:24 >> What do you do?
00:26 >> I know they scored one off the rush in the third, so
00:28 I mean, it was tight out there.
00:33 I thought we started the game good in the first period.
00:35 The second, I thought we played pretty good in the second and
00:40 gave up a goal, we tied up 1-1.
00:41 And it goes to the third period and they got one.
00:48 >> Yeah, they got one.
00:50 >> It is unbelievable to me how Florida plays in that building.
00:56 Once again, proving as we've said a million times here on Sports Grid that
01:00 home ice means nothing in the NHL anymore.
01:02 Literally, there is no such thing as home ice advantage at all.
01:05 >> Zero, and actually I thought a big moment in that game last night too, and
01:11 I get why the guy did it, I think it was Gustafson.
01:14 The Rangers were gonna get a five on three.
01:16 They remember they were on that power play and the guy smashed Richard Sturkin.
01:20 And they were gonna get a five on three and Gustafson went over there and
01:24 hammered the guy, which you wanna protect your goalie, we understand all that.
01:28 But that would have been a huge five on three for
01:32 the Rangers early in that third period if they would have been able to just
01:35 back up a little bit and not destroy the guy like he did.
01:38 So unfortunate for them.
01:39 Tomorrow night, they will play game number six in Sunrise where the Panthers
01:43 are minus a buck 65, plus a buck 40 for the Rangers and a five and a half.
01:48 Do we get a game seven on Monday night at the Garden?
01:53 >> God, when I saw that plus 140, I got horny.
01:58 Honestly, I got ice, in my vein, I got goosebumps.
02:04 I got hair standing up on the back of my neck.
02:07 Literally, I think it's going seven.
02:09 I think they're gonna go down there and be very difficult.
02:12 The strangest things have happened in this series back and forth.
02:17 The road teams are winning and overtimes and a couple games.
02:21 I think tomorrow's overtime in Sunrise and
02:25 the Rangers get lucky and bring it back to the Garden.
02:28 And you even heard Morenzi's like, they'll go home and lose in seven.
02:31 They'll lose a third game on their ice.
02:34 And I heard him complaining again about the ice at the Garden.
02:38 During that broadcast, Ferraro was talking about it,
02:41 that the pucks are bouncing all over the place and that means bad ice.
02:45 That is amazing to me that, frankly, the greatest arena in the world can't get
02:50 the ice surface right for a conference final.
02:53 It really is embarrassing for Dolan and the Rangers.
02:57 I mean, honestly, what do they got?
02:59 Are their Zambonis don't work?
03:01 Don't tell me it's cuz they have concerts and whatever else in there.
03:05 >> That's what they say.
03:05 >> They move it around.
03:06 I don't wanna hear it.
03:07 I don't wanna hear it. >> They have to keep taking the ice apart,
03:09 covering it up, doing all that.
03:10 They have to take it on and off.
03:12 They have a concert.
03:14 It is what it is.
03:14 The ice stinks.
03:16 The ice is just awful for them, that's for sure.
03:19 If you think the Rangers can win both games, it's four to one.
03:23 That's the price that you get for the Rangers to win both games six and
03:26 seven and win this series.
03:29 The Panthers are minus five bills now to catch one of these two games.
03:34 I think the Panthers end it tomorrow night, Scotty.
03:37 I'm gonna go with Panthers in six.
03:40 Another tight game.
03:41 I'll take another under as well for that game tomorrow night with the five and
03:44 a half.
03:45 But I think the Panthers find a way.
03:48 >> Well, we'll see, won't we?
03:50 >> We certainly will.
03:51 >> You'll be watching.
03:52 I don't, yesterday, if you roll the tape, you can see that you and
03:57 I talked about that game yesterday.
03:58 I said I bet on Florida minus 120, and I have no idea why.
04:03 >> I'm hoping to be home by the third period.
04:07 I got the monster jam out at MetLife tomorrow night, so I'm hoping that.
04:11 >> You got it on the phone.
04:12 You'll have your sports credit.
04:13 >> I'll listen on the way home.
04:15 >> Boring update. >> Little guys go, it's over at nine, so
04:18 the game starts at 820.
04:19 So I've only missed the first period.
04:21 I'll listen to the second in the car on the drive home, and
04:24 I'll be home for the third period.
04:25 >> NHL Radio on Sirius, you go right before midnight over to the NHL.
04:29 You got your boy Danny on there.
04:31 >> Actually, I could even get, you see, Sam was back last night.
04:35 Sam Rosen, who of course had a little health scare a couple weeks ago,
04:38 he was back doing the radio with Maloney.
04:41 So we get- >> And who did it,
04:42 LaGreca, when he was out?
04:44 >> LaGreca did it when Rosen was out, yeah, for those couple games he was in there.
04:49 So there you go.
04:50 We have a game tonight as well.
04:51 About game five in Dallas, another series that's tied 2-2.
04:55 It'll be the Stars and the Oilers.
04:57 We'll start with Peter DeBoer.
04:59 When the Stars have played their best game in this series, they have won.
05:02 He wants to see that again tonight.
05:04 >> I think a lot of time in the NHL, you get what you deserve.
05:09 There's not many nights you win and you don't deserve to win.
05:14 So, or the teams are even.
05:16 I thought the better team won last night.
05:19 I think the games we've won, we've been the better team.
05:22 So we've got to up our game here at home in game five.
05:25 >> Yeah, listen, no one cares what he says.
05:28 But I do care that Vinny is running the show today with Mafia.
05:32 I knew that was a different voice than Luke, I Am Your Father.
05:35 He's off at an alcoholic golfing event, bachelor party in Atlantic City,
05:40 which you know is- >> He's eating.
05:41 >> You had nudity, debauchery, strippers.
05:43 >> Wow. >> Are we on the air?
05:44 Don't talk about strippers.
05:47 >> Yes, we are.
05:48 >> One more thing for tonight.
05:50 We usually set you up with a very boring
05:53 Connor McDavid clip before the Oilers play that evening.
05:56 Well, they kept Connor in the cupboard yesterday.
05:59 They didn't want him talking before the big game.
06:01 So I was able to actually find somebody more boring than Connor McDavid.
06:07 >> Come on, Horace.
06:07 >> We haven't played a lot of this guy.
06:09 Here's Chris Knobloch.
06:11 >> Ooh, the head coach of the Edmonton Oilers.
06:13 Is that you ready for today?
06:14 >> Shut up, Knobloch.
06:16 >> Well, one thing I need to clean up is just having the 60 minutes.
06:19 And each team's been- >> Yeah, play 60 minutes.
06:21 >> Having their roller coaster moments where this looked really well.
06:26 And other times when they can't really generate very much.
06:28 And we'd like to have more of a push for 60 minutes.
06:31 And it's easy to say, let's play 60 minutes,
06:35 because you're playing a pretty good team and they will have their moments.
06:40 But I think the longer we can have our moments and play our game,
06:45 obviously that gives us a better opportunity to win the game.
06:50 >> Your boy, Chuck.
06:51 >> My God, it was like going to Catholic school.
06:55 My God, I was just like, what was happening there?
06:59 I don't know one thing he said, I was so bored.
07:02 >> That was a tough scene for Chuck Knobloch there.
07:06 The stars are minus a buck 25 tonight.
07:09 >> From now on, his name's Chuck.
07:11 >> Chuck Knobloch, plus 105 for the Oilers,
07:15 a five and a half total here tonight.
07:19 I think Dallas takes the 3-2 lead, Scotty.
07:22 >> Yeah, I do too.
07:25 And I think they're gonna win.
07:27 And then I think they're gonna win at the Rogers and take them in six.
07:31 >> Yes. >> They're the best road team in
07:33 the playoffs.
07:34 They have been, they are, they're going to.
07:37 So I'm still feeling Dallas.
07:39 And remember, I hit Dallas on a puck line at 190.
07:43 I hit the Oilers 5-2 win on the puck line at 195 on the plus side.
07:49 So we've been doing really well in this series.
07:51 Let's hope it continues tonight with a Dallas cover.
07:53 >> I will come back and give you the most bet player props for tonight.
07:58 And then we'll start to get into some baseball stuff for this evening as well.
08:02 >> Driver, hi, my favorite golfer, Buckethead, is out there making a run.
08:08 >> Joel Damon, of course, who everybody loves from the Netflix series, Full Swing.
08:15 He has not done much on the golf course since he first starred in Full Swing.
08:20 He's actually been in both seasons of Full Swing.
08:23 But he has himself at the top of the leaderboard here.
08:26 He is eight under through 14 holes, two back of our leader, Bobby McIntyre,
08:31 who's already in the clubhouse.
08:32 So that would be big for Joel, Scotty, who has,
08:36 everybody loves this dude from that show.
08:39 Cuz he's an awesome guy, great family, the caddy, Gino's fun.
08:43 He's a fun dude to root for.
08:45 The problem is he's never around the top of a leaderboard on a weekend to root for
08:50 him.
08:50 So this would be cool if we have ourselves a little Joel Damon rooting party
08:55 up in Canada on Saturday and Sunday.
08:57 Probably good for ratings too, by the way,
08:59 with all the lack of names there at the top.
09:01 >> I love him, he's awesome, he's funny.
09:04 He parties, my man eats and drinks, he's got it all going.
09:09 >> Well, take a rest tonight, all right?
09:10 Cuz if he's gonna be maybe in that final pairing tomorrow,
09:14 we want him on the- >> Ron, Ron, I got four left,
09:16 now wait a minute.
09:17 >> Right, remember when he made the US Open and
09:20 he hammered all those white claws in between the rounds?
09:23 Maybe he does gotta go.
09:25 >> He's gotta go back to his original plan of drinking and
09:29 eating as much as possible, living it up, having a tomahawk steak, and
09:34 going out and scoring low, drink.
09:37 >> You know what, and since he's playing so well,
09:41 he'll have a late tee time tomorrow too.
09:43 He'll probably not go out till about 2.30, 2.45, so-
09:46 >> Sleep in.
09:46 >> That's perfect for a situation like that.
09:49 All right, here we go, most bad player props for tonight, Oilers and Stars.
09:52 Of course, it's very Oiler heavy, Hyman under a point, I don't like that one at
09:57 all, McDavid to score a goal plus 145, McDavid over three and a half shots,
10:01 even money, Dreisaitl to score plus 135, and
10:04 Hyman to score at plus 105 this evening.
10:09 >> I mean, those are brutal bets, absolutely brutal bets.
10:17 I would guess that McDavid would have four shots,
10:22 because he's been flying around, and
10:24 I think he's potentially gonna score tonight and have four shots on goal.
10:30 The Hyman stuff stands out to me too much, that he's gonna score,
10:35 he's gonna have over half a point, all that.
10:38 I hit it last night with Kreider, but I'm not going there, I'm leaning McDavid.
10:44 I've seen him, he's got a jump in his step, and he's firing shots.
10:51 The other night when they scored, when they won 5-2,
10:53 he had that big shot off the pad that led to the redirector on the doorstep.
10:58 That was intentional, he shot that off his far pad to get the rebound,
11:03 to get the goal.
11:04 I think he's shooting a lot,
11:05 I'll give him a crack tonight with that over three and a half shots.
11:09 >> There you go, for that, we gave you this number yesterday for the series.
11:13 The Stars are minus a buck 20, as we start this best of three here tonight.
11:18 And for the Stanley Cup, with Florida winning last night and
11:22 being a game away from the final, they are the favorites now, clear plus 130.
11:27 Rangers dropped to 9-1 because they are in that 3-2 hole and
11:31 they are one game away from elimination.
11:33 >> Mike, I'm gonna go even, I'm gonna go Sagan, and I'm gonna go Pavelski.
11:40 >> Ooh.
11:41 >> I think, and believe it or not, I'm gonna give, see if I can get Dushane on.
11:47 >> Okay.
11:48 >> Over a half a point, I think that'll be offered up.
11:53 I think he could have a helper or a goal.
11:56 I think the Stars are gonna win and I think their big guns are coming out tonight.
12:00 And I mean, everyone on that team is dangerous.
12:04 They got all kinds of guys that can score, so
12:06 I think they play well tonight in Dallas.
12:08 I'd be more willing to make prop bets on the Stars than I am the Oilers tonight.
12:14 >> I'm with you on that.
12:15 All right, I gave you the NBA schedule earlier.
12:17 We know that there's gonna be game sixes Saturday night in Florida and
12:21 Sunday night in Edmonton, no matter what.
12:24 If there's a game seven for Rangers in Florida, it would be Monday.
12:27 If there's a game seven for Oilers-Stars, it would be Tuesday.
12:30 The final start next Saturday night, no matter what, June 8th, 8 o'clock for that.
12:37 And once again, they're doing the smart thing.
12:40 They used to go every other night.
12:43 They're kinda getting like the NBA now.
12:44 They're stretching it out a little bit further.
12:46 June 24th would be the game seven if the Stanley Cup final were to go that far.
12:53 >> Time out, I got three left.
12:54 So you're telling me that tonight they're playing game five on Friday night.
13:00 They're playing, I see, game six is Sunday and Tuesday is game seven.
13:06 All right, I'm with you.
13:07 All right, fair enough.
13:08 >> And then they would start, no matter how long these series-
13:11 >> Saturday night, no matter what.
13:13 >> Next Saturday, June 8th, is when they'll start game one of the Stanley Cup final.
13:19 So there you go for that.
