Watch: Warrnambool's Jackson Bell after Hampden league round eight win
Transcript
00:00 Thanks for joining us Jackson, great win today against Turing-Mortlake, how are you feeling?
00:04 Yeah, good to get the points. Like we said before the game, it was a win at all costs sort of game.
00:10 They were fifth, we were sixth, so we sort of had to leapfrog. I think the boys, yeah, we came out hard and really fought well.
00:18 That third quarter was pretty decisive for you guys and then they came back hard in the fourth before you finished well.
00:23 Can you run us through what you're feeling?
00:26 Yeah, well the start of the last quarter we kicked a couple of goals and were probably 30 points up.
00:31 We always knew they were going to come and they got some good, some of the best players in the comp, in that team.
00:36 And they sort of wheeled them a bit and got within eight points and it was a bit nerve-wracking.
00:42 But we sort of got a couple of goals, sort of just steadied a bit.
00:46 Was there anyone you thought played particularly well today?
00:49 Look, you can't go past Cunners, he's one-on-one. If you just get it to him. I think Talon Waston, he played a great game off half-back.
00:59 Just talk about playing desperate and he plays that way.
01:04 And this year, obviously you're now 4-4, you play Hamilton next week, you're a bit of a tricky opponent before South.
01:09 How important are the next couple of games just to sort of build on this?
01:12 Yeah, really important. Like if we can just sort of get a run on, like it's sort of been lose one and then win one.
01:18 So we just need to break those shackles and try and get a win against Hamilton.
01:22 Like you said, pretty tricky side, they've had a couple of wins.
01:26 No worries, thanks Jackson.
01:28 Cheers.
