00:00 The Armed Forces of the Philippines rejected the report of Chinese state media that the Chinese Coast Guard was targeted by the armed forces of the Philippine soldiers in BRP Sierra Madre in Yungin Shoal.
00:12 The AFP's gate has the right to bring the armed forces of the BRP Sierra Madre as self-defense, especially since China has harassed them several times.
00:23 We have first news from Chino Gaston.
00:27 In this footage from the China Coast Guard, the BRP Sierra Madre is seen serving as a military outpost of the Philippines in Yungin Shoal in the West Philippine Sea,
00:36 in the middle of the supply air draft in the BRP Sierra Madre.
00:40 According to Chinese media, two of the Philippine troops in the ship were targeted by their weapons in the CCG.
00:47 But according to AFP Chief General Romeo Browner Jr., in the exclusive interview of GMA Integrated News,
00:53 we are denying. We talked to our soldiers in the BRP Sierra Madre. They did not target the Chinese.
01:02 They did not raise their weapons to target the Chinese. They just held it because of that right to self-defense.
01:11 According to Browner, they made four air drafts in the BRP Sierra Madre in May 19.
01:17 A Chinese man who was caught fishing and saw the food being eaten was thrown out of the ship.
01:23 Our rubber boats had to go to that area to recover what they can recover.
01:31 But the thing is, the Chinese got too close to our BRP Sierra Madre.
01:39 We have rules of engagement that we follow. If they see a threat, they have the right to defend themselves.
01:51 Commission Vessel Ania, the BRP Sierra Madre, means that it's authorized to have weapons for self-defense.
01:58 They cannot tell us that the weapons on board that ship are not authorized, even under international law.
02:11 According to the Philippine Navy, even in the video, the gun was not raised and it was only at the waist level.
02:18 No soldier was able to aim from the bow. It was raised, shouldered and pulled.
02:24 The air draft package of the CCG that they spread in the sea should be noticed.
02:32 According to AFP, the Philippines will protest the CCG's actions.
02:36 We are bringing supplies, humanitarian supplies for our troops in BRP Sierra Madre so that they can live there.
02:43 We only bring food, water and medicine. They should not confiscate these. They have no right to do that.
02:53 Some senators also condemned China's confiscation of food for Filipino soldiers, as well as other CCG violations in Ayunginsol.
03:03 This is a provocation. They even took our food, not them.
03:07 The Philippines and China have repeatedly made tensions in Ayunginsol.
03:11 Our resupply missions here were not reduced by seven times the water cannon.
03:16 This time, AFP resupplied with air drafts. But this does not mean that we are giving up.
03:24 Our means and options to bring supplies to our troops are very peaceful.
03:30 But this does not mean that we will only do air drafts.
03:34 Of course, the rotation of the troops is also needed.
03:37 Our troops really need to ride on ships.
