00:02 A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and firearms offences in the Brimmington area of
00:08 Chesterfield. The 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a firearm
00:14 by armed officers in the Grove Road area just after 6.30pm last night, following a report of
00:19 a domestic incident in Brimmington on Saturday. A police spokesperson said that, while there had
00:25 been a significant police presence in the area, this was due to the circumstances of the alleged
00:30 crimes and there was no wider risk to the public. Work is due to begin this month on the building of
00:37 143 new homes at Maston Moor. The development, called Low Ridding, will be built on Bolsover
00:43 Road after Harron's Home North Midland bought 15 acres of land from the Devonshire Group.
00:48 As part of its planning application which was approved earlier this year,
00:52 Harron has committed to the inclusion of a selection of two and four-bedroomed affordable
00:56 homes. Two, three, four and five-bedroom homes will be built as part of the four-phase development
01:03 which will include children's play areas and formal recreation spaces.
01:06 The site will also include a construction skills hub provided by the Devonshire Group
01:12 which will become a practical base for training and provide work experience for future learners.
01:19 Beacons will shine across Derbyshire this week as part of commemorations to mark the 80th
01:23 anniversary of D-Day. Two beacons to commemorate the turning point of the Second World War
