Cassie has just spoken out about the horrific video of her then-boyfriend Diddy brutally beating her, and her words were clearly chosen carefully given the NDA she signed to settle her lawsuit.

00:00Patsy has broken her silence. She is
00:03addressing this
00:05Hard to watch brutal video of her getting beaten up
00:10Viciously by Sean Combs never mentioned his name, but it's very clear what she's talking about. Yes
00:16There's no doubt that she is addressing that video squarely and obviously it's been almost a week now since that came out
00:24We had not heard directly from her
00:27We'd heard from her husband her her lawyer, but this is what she has to say
00:32About what you see in that video
00:35And you will notice that there's again no mention of his name
00:39The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now
00:45But this is only the beginning domestic violence is the issue it broke me down to someone
00:51I never thought I would become with a lot of hard work
00:54I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past
00:58Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter. Seriously, so this is a
01:04clear reference to
01:06Sean Combs
01:08She is not allowed to use his name or as he allowed to use hers
01:12Because of the NDA that both of them signed when they settled her lawsuit against him
01:18Alleging among other things that very bad beating which by the way he had denied
01:24Happened until the video right it denied all the allegations and then the video came out
01:29you know it I
01:31think the obvious point there and
01:34throughout the rest of her statement she makes a
01:38Point of saying that she hopes that going forward that seeing this video and her case will help people
01:46believe
01:48Victims when they come forward believe them in the first place. I
01:52Understand why she feels that way and it very much is clear in this case that
01:57She was telling the truth about about that, but it's an overstatement. It is it is a bit of an overstatement not a bit
02:03It's like you you know people have to take case by case
02:07Yeah
02:08and you don't know I mean look, you know that anybody can file any allegation they want and
02:14The point is you vet it you check it you look at the evidence in this case. The evidence is clear
02:20well
02:21What's interesting about that statement?
02:23And this is what I was trying to get to was that there are still three actually now for other
02:29lawsuits right that have been filed against against Sean Combs against Diddy and
02:34there are allegations some of them very similar to some of her allegations some of them different and
02:40Those things have to play out in court or that or there will be a settlement
02:44But you can't just assume that all of the people that have come forward are telling the truth
02:50But it is also true to say that
02:52Diddy's denials
02:54Just don't hold the same water. No, no, that's because he's been it's absolutely true
02:59But and I agree with you on that this statement though goes way beyond Diddy
03:03It goes to everybody and I just think well, I thought that she was actually speaking and again
03:08She can't say his name. And so it's unclear, but I read it as
03:13Believe hit the people accusing him, but I know I read it broader than that, right?
03:18Yeah, I guess I can't really tell which way she meant it but well, I agree with both of you
03:23But she is she's clearly saying that she wants the presumption at least when you initially hear these allegations in light of seeing this
03:30video where he
03:31attacked and brutally beat her that the presumption should now be in favor of those narratives rather than just
03:37An equal playing field until there's any evidence
03:39She's saying now you guys know a little bit more and you should treat those allegations
03:44And by the way
03:45There is a basis for saying there should be a presumption here because Diddy said what Cassie was alleging was absolutely not true
03:52And there you see the video that shows it is true. So
03:56because of his kind of blanket denial, I think maybe it does flip the presumption and
04:02As to his case, but that doesn't mean yes in general in general that you automatically
04:08Presume it's got to be true. You don't have to presume. It's not true either. You should say
04:14You know, let's see. Let's see it unfold
04:16Do you think it was interesting that she didn't that there wasn't anywhere in her statement even an acknowledgment of his apology or a reference?
04:23To the apology and maybe she can't because maybe that's getting too close to the NDA. I wasn't surprised
04:29I I saw I saw this delicate dance with Diddy as well
04:32I mean Diddy didn't mention her name and she stayed as far away from his name because you don't need to it's crystal clear who
04:37They're both talking about and why mess with the NDA that's well
04:40And the other thing I would say is even if he were allowed to mention her name and even if he did
04:46She would have issued the exact same statement. I don't think anything there would have changed. All right, right
04:52Hi, I'm Tasia from Orange, New Jersey. I'm glad that Cassie spoke out about
04:58Not only her situation but just the issue of domestic violence
05:02and I think this will bring other victims to share their story and come forward and
05:08Allow them to heal and get the help that they need. Also, I still think
05:13There may depending on what happens with this federal probe. There may be more we're gonna hear from Cassie if
05:20if the feds go forward with the case because I don't see how she's not a
05:25Witness. Oh, she's no if we know I'm not the witness
05:29We know she has spoken with the feds right and that they used her information
05:33As part of their ability to get a search warrant
