00:41 And the cool thing is, is that the people who work here
00:43 are so -- they're just such lovely people,

00:47 What was not in the report?
00:49 Gold star.
00:52 Our heroes are on such a ride this year.
00:54 They're picking up about two weeks after the finale aired.
00:57 We really kind of hit the ground running
01:00 with the first episode back.
01:02 It's a lot of fun for me 'cause
01:04 he's on a whole different side of Voight,
01:05 but you kind of see him in a different situation,
01:06 whereas before, he was being tracked,
01:08 he was living his home life, he was living his secret life.
01:12 But now you see how he is when he's interacting
01:14 with people from the BAU or wherever else
01:17 and kind of that master manipulator side of him.
01:19 I started looking for anything involving a gold star.
01:22 A really interesting case and connections start to happen,
01:26 which then Prentiss gets the rest of the team involved,
01:29 and we start trying to put all the puzzle pieces together
01:33 and figure out who and what this gold star is.
01:37 Frankly, I think Prentiss is kind of coming apart
01:39 at the seams a little bit.
01:42 She is guilty of confirmation bias,
01:44 but she's still good at her job.
01:46 There is a little Prentiss after dark.
01:49 The stories are able to be a little bit darker
01:51 than they even were before.
01:53 The characters are all evolving.
01:54 Our characters get to be more well-rounded people.
01:59 I think that David Rossi is a perfect example of that.
02:01 I have this individual kind of specific bond
02:03 with all of the characters, especially of the core group.
02:06 I think when we come back in, you see a really focused Tara
02:09 who's devoted to the BAU, to her coworkers,
02:11 devoted to making other people safer,
02:14 but a complete mess at home.
02:15 Alves, he's got a moral dilemma that he's faced with

02:42 You know, every week it was an unsub of the week,
02:44 and so you just had a limited amount of time
02:46 with those characters, and now we've got that
02:49 plus the ability to get into the mind
02:52 of somebody like a Sicarius.
02:54 We need to get inside his mind,
02:56 starting with why these victims, why now?
02:59 All of the things that the fans loved

03:04 and we were doing the show,

03:07 of making network television,
03:08 but now that we're on a streamer
03:10 and we've got the latitude
