A local Councillor was on hand to open the very elegant brand new vintage tea room at Woodcote Residential home in Newport.

00:00Well it's an absolute pleasure to be in this lovely building, this beautiful bright building,
00:06to see the opening of this fabulous cafe which I'm sure everybody is going to enjoy for years to
00:12come. So with that said, I'll declare Woodcote Hall Cafe well and truly open!
00:30We're here at Woodcote residential home just on the edge of Newport and a fantastic tea room here,
00:36fantastic cafe and you're the manager? I am yes. What's your name madam? My name is Cherelle,
00:40I've been managing for just over six months now and we decided to open a tea room for our residents
00:45so they've got a different retreat of the home. It's called Lakeside View and everybody can,
00:53I don't know, come in here whenever they want really. Yeah cakes, a cup of tea, have a chat,
00:57meet up and families and parties and friends. Oh yeah of course you have to have a birthday party,
01:03you've got that space yeah. Well it's beautiful in here isn't it? I mean it looks fantastic,
01:08you must be very pleased with how it's turned out. I'm happy that the residents will be so.

01:17You had the official honours of cutting the ribbon with the help of a resident. Absolutely and it's
01:22been an absolute pleasure as well, I've enjoyed every minute of it. It looks gorgeous in here
