Whether you’re a new college graduate or a potential employer, you’d be wise to stay abreast of these evolving workplace dynamics. To find out what younger workers are seeking, and which companies are answering the call, Forbes ranked America’s Best Employers For New Grads 2024.
To compile the list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista and surveyed more than 100,000 young professionals (defined as those with less than 10 years of work experience) working for companies with at least 1,000 employees in the United States. Respondents were asked whether they would recommend their employer to others, and to rate that organization in such areas as compensation, benefits, advancement opportunities, working conditions, flexibility, company image, and inclusion. Additionally, survey participants were asked whether they would recommend any of their previous employers or those they know through their own industry or through family and friends who work there. Responses were considered from surveys conducted over the past three years.

00:48 But the organizations that are doing it best are the ones on this year's list of America's Best Employers for New Grads.
00:56 Here are the five best employers for new grads in 2024.
01:02 At number five, UCLA Health.
01:06 New grads looking for purpose and hoping to have an impact are often drawn to helping professions like those in health care.
01:14 To guide those potential employees, UCLA Health starts its recruiting process early, holding information sessions for high school students.
01:23 Once students are in college, UCLA Health offers a summer internship program during which interns can work in many different departments to experience a variety of jobs and learn about a range of topics.
01:37 The learning opportunities extend to full time employees as well, so that they too can continue to grow throughout their careers.
01:45 At number four, Dutch Bros Coffee.
01:49 At Dutch Bros Coffee, a chain with almost 900 locations, primarily in the West and South, in-person connection is integral to its mission, which is to be "a fun-loving, mind-blowing company that makes a massive difference, one cup at a time."

02:10 On May 17, the company hosted one of its biggest fundraisers, called "Drink One for Dane Day," in honor of co-founder Dane Boersma, who passed away from ALS.

02:38 American Express has an enterprise career growth model, backed by numerous training programs and resources, which enables employees to take ownership of their career progression as they learn new skills and leadership principles.
02:52 Amex also promotes its NextGen colleague network, which is focused on strengthening connections and fostering collaboration across generations.
03:02 These connections may be made in-person or remotely, since the majority of Amex employees work on a hybrid schedule, coming into the office three days a week.

03:16 Jumping from number 47 to number two this year was In-N-Out Burger.
03:21 The family-owned chain, headquartered in California, offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, paid vacation, and career growth.
03:31 In fact, In-N-Out, which has more than 400 locations in California and the Southwest, is structured to encourage staff members to advance their careers within the organization.
03:43 And at number one, Delta Airlines.
03:47 Earning the number one spot was Delta Airlines, up from number 10 in 2023.
03:54 Our survey respondents rated Delta most favorably for its reputation and diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
04:02 But the company also offers a wide range of employee benefits, including career development programs, family care assistance, a focus on environmental sustainability, a matching 401(k) plan, and, of course, flight discounts.
