00:00 Hello, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. It's been a cloudy and
00:05 damp end to the day today, all thanks to some weather fronts that are sinking their way
00:08 south and eastwards through the rest of Sunday and into the start of Monday. That then leaves
00:13 us with northerly winds across the UK which will be bringing us below average temperatures
00:18 through the first part of the week. Through the second half of the week though, low pressure
00:21 is waiting in the wings out in the Atlantic, so bringing us further outbreaks of rain,
00:25 but perhaps some slightly warmer temperatures as we go towards next weekend. Back to this
00:31 evening though, and the rain that we've seen across Northern Ireland will continue to spread
00:34 its way south and eastwards, affecting parts of Wales, Central and Northern parts of England
00:39 overnight Sunday and into the start of Monday. Turning a little drier across parts of Northern
00:43 Ireland and Scotland through the early hours of Monday morning, and under those clear spells
00:47 we're likely to see those temperatures dropping down into the low single figures, particularly
00:51 in some rural spots where we could see a touch of grass frost. It will generally be staying
00:56 a little bit milder though further south and further east, particularly where that cloud
00:59 and rain persists overnight. That does mean though a cloudy and damp start for much of
01:04 England and Wales on Monday morning. The heavy rain across eastern parts of England could
01:08 cause some disruption during the morning rush hour, but it does eventually clear its way
01:12 towards the south east as we head towards the afternoon, but closely followed by some
01:16 heavy and blustery showers. These could turn to some longer spells of rain across parts
01:20 of Scotland too. Wales and south western parts of England likely to see the best of the sunshine
01:25 on Monday, but temperatures still disappointing for the time of year, only reaching around
01:30 18 or 19 degrees in the south and perhaps only into the low double figures further north.
01:36 As we go through the rest of Monday there will still be some showers around through
01:39 the first part of the evening, perhaps even some heavy downpours across northern parts
01:42 of England and Scotland, but those showers do gradually ease overnight and generally
01:46 turning drier for most of us through the early hours of Tuesday morning, and with plenty
01:50 of clear spells around, that does mean quite a chilly night to come, particularly in the
01:54 south compared to Sunday night, where temperatures again in rural spots likely to drop into the
01:59 low single figures, so again we could see a touch of grass frost in places, and even
02:03 the towns and cities likely to drop into the high single figures. But that does mean a
02:08 bit of a drier and brighter start for many of us on Tuesday, plenty of sunshine as we
02:12 head through the morning, still some showers across parts of Scotland and along eastern
02:16 coasts of England as well, and the cloud bubbling up through the afternoon bringing some further
02:20 showers as we head through Tuesday afternoon, although perhaps not quite as heavy across
02:24 eastern parts of England as we saw on Monday. Again, Wales and south-western parts of England
02:29 seeing the best of the sunshine, but those temperatures still below average for the time
02:33 of year, only in the mid to high teens further south, and again struggling to reach much
02:36 above the low double figures further north. Showers do continue through the rest of Tuesday
02:42 and into the start of Wednesday, but do make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel
