00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. After a gloomy
00:05and grey start to November, a change is on the way today with plenty of sunshine on offer.
00:10We do still have the remnants of a weak frontal system down in the very far south of the UK,
00:14but this continues to slip southwards offshore and there will perhaps be one or two isolated
00:19showers across eastern parts of England this afternoon, but for most of us it'll be a dry
00:22day with plenty of sunshine and blue skies in store for us. There'll be some light winds
00:27as well, so it'll be feeling pleasant in that sunshine with temperatures generally
00:29round about average for the time of year. Highs of 11, 12, perhaps 13 in the south and
00:3410 or 11 further north. Through the rest of Monday evening, any remnants of that cloud
00:39across the very far southwest continues to move offshore overnight, so leaving a dry
00:43night for most of us with plenty of clear spells around. Still one or two isolated showers
00:48across the eastern coast of England, but for most of us it should be a dry start to Tuesday.
00:53Under those clear skies and with those light winds, we are likely to see some mist and
00:56fog developing, particularly across northern parts of Northern Ireland, Northern England
00:59and parts of Scotland too. This could be quite dense and widespread in places and with those
01:03clear spells, it is likely to be a chilly night quite widely across the UK, seeing those
01:08temperatures dropping down into the low single figures and for the northern half of the UK,
01:12we could see some frost in places. So quite a widely chilly start to the day on Tuesday,
01:17but it should be a dry and bright start for most of us. The fog across Northern Ireland
01:21could be a little slow to clear just due to the time of year and there will still be one
01:25or two isolated showers down in the southeast of England, though these perhaps a little
01:29heavier than we saw on Monday. But for most of us it will be a dry day, plenty of sunshine
01:34around, perhaps some cloud bubbling up through the afternoon across central and northern
01:37parts of England, but for most of us there should be some sunshine in store as well.
01:42Temperatures will be similar to what we saw on Monday, so around about average for the
01:44time of year, 11 or 12 in the south and 10 or 11 further north, but again, feeling pleasant
01:49where we do see that sunshine. There will be more sunshine on offer as we go through
01:54Wednesday and Thursday, but to find out more about that, do make sure you subscribe to
01:57our YouTube channel so you never miss a weather update. Bye bye.
