02:41 Knowing they're all experiencing freedom from their own trauma for the first time is
02:45 enough to bring a tear to your eye.
02:55 Journey This indie darling does a lot with its story
02:58 considering there isn't a single piece of dialogue in it.
03:01 In Journey, players take a mysterious robbed figure through a vast desert to reach the
03:06 top of a mountain.
03:07 Along the way, you'll come across obstacles, puzzles, and several other figures like you.
03:12 You might think these figures are just helpful NPCs since there's no way to communicate
03:16 with them, but they're actually other players.
03:19 After reaching the end, a joyous moment in its own right, you'll spot the usernames
03:24 of those who helped you in the credits.
03:26 It's a small moment, but a beautiful artistic expression that shows none of us are truly
03:31 traveling alone.
03:32 Undertale!
03:33 The End Like many other RPGs, Undertale features
03:46 multiple endings depending on how you play.
03:49 But the conclusion that is undeniably the happiest comes at the end of the pacifist
03:53 route.
03:54 First, you'll need to have beaten the game on a neutral playthrough.
03:56 Then, you'll have to beat it again without having killed any of the monsters you come
04:01 across.
04:22 After rescuing your friends and reconciling with him, the barrier separating the worlds
04:26 of humans and monsters is destroyed.
04:29 Everything ends peacefully with the player given the option to let Toriel become their
04:33 adoptive parent.
04:44 Hades
04:57 While Undertale sees you bring together a lovely found family, Hades has you reunite

05:03 As Zagreus, the son of Hades, continuously attempts to escape from the underworld, players
05:07 eventually learn he's doing so in order to find his birth mother, Persephone.
05:11 You first run ends when you find her on the surface, though players must reach this goal
05:16 another 10 times to unlock the true ending.
05:29 Despite their marriage being a happy one, each visit reveals more of the sad story before
05:33 Zagreus convinces her to come home.
05:36 Not only does this make his father less bitter, but they even feast with the rest of the Olympians,
05:41 like one big happy dysfunctional family.
05:53 Near Automata This happy ending only comes after a few sad
05:57 ones.
06:02 Following a climax where either 2B sacrifices herself to save 9S or both of them die, you
06:07 will be asked if you want to save them during the credits.
06:10 If so, those credits turn into a brutal shoot em up section.
06:14 When you die, you receive words of encouragement left by other players.
06:18 Die enough and you can have them join you in the fight.
06:21 They're only able to do so by deleting their save data.
06:24 You can choose to as well, adding your strength to a future player in need.
06:35 That level of sacrifice for complete strangers is sure to tug on your heart strings.
06:47 This also leads to the androids starting again.
06:57 Celeste In addition to its high difficulty, Celeste
07:00 became best known for its thoughtful approach to mental illness through video game mechanics.
07:05 It tells the story of Madeline, a troubled young woman who climbs the mysterious mountain
07:10 as a way to overcome her personal problems.
07:12 On her journey, she's plagued by what seems to be an evil version of herself.
07:17 However, Celeste teaches us acceptance of ourselves rather than rejection.
07:21 By the end, Madeline is able to find peace within her, make it to the top of the mountain
07:25 and share some strawberry pie with her new friends.
07:28 We know that her issues haven't been magically erased and that life will continue on, but
07:33 the ending shows our protagonist much healthier and happier than where she began.
07:37 It Takes Two Most of It Takes Two is a zany, delightful
07:44 co-op romp and the ending is just as joyous as we were hoping it would be.
07:49 On the verge of divorce, feuding parents Cody and May are turned into toy dolls by their
07:53 daughter's wish.
07:55 They then have to rely on each other and whatever tools each level gives them to make it back
07:59 to their original bodies.
08:05 As the game progresses, all of the jaded and hateful feelings between them are broken down,
08:10 allowing for the love they once held for each other to grow anew.
08:13 After their kiss breaks the curse, they're surprised to learn their daughter has run
08:17 away, but after reassuring her, the family heads home ready for a new chapter.
08:27 The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt A dark plot makes a happy ending all that
08:33 more powerful.
08:47 The Witcher 3 features multiple endings, but the widely accepted best one shows Geralt's
08:52 adopted daughter Ciri join him on the road as a fellow Witcher.
09:07 Geralt's profession makes his life a lonely one, so an ending like this is sure to make
09:11 you crack a smile.
09:13 Even more joyful is the conclusion to its DLC Blood and Wine, which ends with Geralt
09:17 being gifted a vineyard for his services.
09:20 As it closes and Geralt ponders the thought of retirement, a knowing smile into the camera
09:25 signals gratefulness to players and the thought of easier days ahead.
09:28 Depending on your choices, he can also be joined by one of his romantic interests.
09:39 Uncharted 4 A Thief's End Ending Uncharted 4 on a quiet, peaceful note
