00:12In the first chance, Miralco Boltz will be able to call himself the PBA champion.
00:20That was after San Miguel Bierman closed the door on the game 6 of the 48th season of the PBA Philippine Cup this Sunday night in Araneta Coliseum.
00:31From the start, Boltz already had a huge lead.
00:35But the defending Philippine Cup champions didn't give up easily.
00:40The lead was gradually increased until a 3-pointer from the best player of the conference,
00:47Jun Marfajardo, scored the 78th all.
00:51But in the next possession, Chris Newsom recovered by catching a clutch mid-range jumper to recover the lead.
01:01San Miguel ran out of time in the next possession.
01:05And Miralco Boltz was able to escape the victory.
01:08That's how big their lead was.
01:11Newsom finished the game with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
01:16He was also nominated as the Finals Most Valuable Player.
01:20Miralco's consultant, Nenad Vucinich, said that he really trusted Newsom's ability.
01:41Today, he got really defended well by some of the guards in San Miguel.
01:47But the last shot had to go to me.
01:50And that's his bread and butter fadeaway jump shot from the baseline.
01:55And he went in, so I'm so happy for him.
01:59Following their first championship, Miralco accompanied the Coca-Cola Tigers
02:04as the second team in the history of the PBA to win their first title in an all-Filipino conference.
