A police narcotics raid led to the discovery of a modified car that used a locked compartment to store drugs.

The raid on June 17 in a rented house in Puchong was conducted by both the Bukit Aman and Kelantan Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID).

00:23Director Commissioner Datuk Kau Kok Chin said a 36-year-old local man was nabbed on suspicion
00:30of being involved in drug trafficking.
00:33Police also seized a car that had been modified to transport the drugs discreetly.
00:53He added that a keycard was needed to open the compartment, which was further obscured
01:15by speakers in the trunk, and it can only be opened when the car has been started.
01:21Commissioner Kau also said that the drugs, identified as ketamine and shabu, could have
01:26been used to supply up to 1.8 million addicts.
01:29He added that police were currently hunting down other syndicate members and urged the
01:34house owner to come forward to assist investigations.
01:38The suspect has been remanded until June 24 under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act
