00:00Good evening and welcome to this new newscast, here are the headlines.
00:17Burkina Faso reiterates its support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and the Moroccan autonomy plan.
00:26And the UN, which reiterates its call for an immediate ceasefire, is taking a real path towards a two-state solution.
00:38In Sudan, the war, which has been raging since April 2023, has already caused the displacement of more than 9 million people, according to the UN.
00:47And we start this newscast with this bilateral meeting between Nasser Bouletta, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad,
00:58and his counterpart, Burkinabe Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré, who reiterated Burkina Faso's support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and the Moroccan autonomy plan.
01:10More details in this story by Cheyma Fikri.
01:14The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bouletta, welcomed this Friday his counterpart Burkinabe Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré.
01:25He reiterated in Rabat the constant position of Burkina Faso for the support in favor of the territorial integrity of Morocco on the whole of its territory.
01:36This visit is part of the solid relations between the two countries, and of exceptional interest carried by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
01:44As for the relations with the Sahel countries, especially Burkina Faso, during our meeting, we addressed the subject of our solid bilateral relations, characterized by their historical depth and diversity.
01:56Traoré did not fail to salute the excellent work that is being done within the United Nations.
02:02Morocco has submitted an autonomy plan, which we have always supported, and which declines and which actually restitutes Burkina Faso's position.
02:25This is a regularly reiterated support in favor of the territorial integrity of Morocco on the whole of its territory.
02:40For this reason, we call on this plan, which is a whole and which really allows us to go towards a happy outcome, as I said, that this plan can benefit from the support of all so that we can finally,
03:01between Africans, find ourselves in a sufficiently integrated space, a space of dialogue and a space of peace.
03:09As a reminder, Burkina Faso opened a general consulate in Darla on October 23, 2020, thus marking the indispensable support of this country to the Moroccan Sahara.
03:22Omar Hilal, ambassador and permanent representative of Morocco to the UN, participated in a meeting on the fight against the growing terrorist threat in West Africa and in the Sahel, organized in Sierra Leone.
03:35Omar Hilal highlighted the vision of solidarity of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the prevention and fight against terrorism in Africa.
03:42He reaffirmed the commitment of the Kingdom in the fight against terrorism in West Africa and in the Sahel.
03:48He also highlighted the expertise and central role of Morocco in the fight against terrorism at the regional and international level.
03:55Omar Hilal highlighted in particular the essential role of the Arab Regional Bureau of the United Nations against terrorism in terms of training and strengthening the capacities of African countries in the fight against terrorism.

04:32In its statement, the Ministry of Habeas and Islamic Affairs has stated that these cases of deaths have been recorded among the pilgrims,
04:38being part of the official organization and the organization of travel agencies.
04:42Regarding these deaths, the Ministry of Habeas and Islamic Affairs states that these are natural deaths,
04:47underlining that 15% of Moroccan pilgrims this year are over 80 years old.
04:52Tangier has hosted for three days the work of the regional consultation for the North African region on the post-Malabar agenda of the Detailed Development Programme for Agriculture in Africa.
05:06This regional consultation, organized by the Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union, in partnership with the African Union Commission,
05:14is piloted by the regional economic communities and aims to identify the main issues, priorities and strategic interventions for the region to include in the post-Malabar agenda.
05:26The main objective of this three-day consultation is to guarantee the involvement of Member States and major stakeholders in the construction of a consensus on key issues and technical options related to the post-Malabar agenda.
05:40For more details, I invite you to listen to Amadi Diop, the coordinator of the process for the development of the post-Malabar agenda.
05:49It is inclusive, it has two components.
05:52There is a component where we have dialogues with the countries that are taken into consideration by the regional economic communities.
06:01And we also have a technical work that is being done so that everyone can contribute and have their voice taken into consideration in these dialogues.
06:10So today we are here because the region of the Maghreb is going to do its consultation with the leadership of the OMA.
06:20And we are here to accompany them so that the priorities of the countries of the Maghreb and the priorities of the non-state actors of the Maghreb,
06:30the priorities of the peasant organizations of the Maghreb, the priorities of the private sector of the Maghreb are taken into consideration in the next agricultural policy of the continent.
06:41And we open the international page.
06:43And Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, who renewed Friday his call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Reza.
06:52He also pleaded for a real way towards a solution for two states in the conflict in the region.
06:58We continue to press for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Reza.
07:03The immediate and unconditional liberation of hostages is a real way towards a solution for two states,
07:09said the head of the UN during a meeting with the press in New York.
07:13Lebanon cannot become another Reza, said the UN Secretary General during this meeting.
07:19He also highlighted the fears of a regional incitement with the multiplication of shots at the Lebanese-Israeli border and the threats raised by Israel and Hezbollah.
07:32And the situation remains chaotic in the Reza strip.
07:37The Israeli army intensified Friday its strikes on the Reza strip,
07:42in which at least 30 Palestinians were killed, according to doctors, and exchanged new cross-border shots with the Lebanese Hezbollah.
07:51Bombings and shots of tanks and artillery targeted, in particular, the city of Rafah in the south,
07:56as well as several sectors in the north and the center of the territory, in the camp of Nusayrat and the surroundings of Deir el-Balah.
08:03The Reza strip has so far killed 37,431, mostly civilians.
08:09Israel also announced on Friday the death in combat of two soldiers in the center of the Reza strip,
08:15which brings to more than 310 the number of soldiers killed since the beginning of the land operations on October 27.
08:24International, always, and the recent words of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,
08:29deploring delays in American military aid to Israel, are deeply disappointing and certainly offensive.
08:37He declared yesterday Thursday a spokesman for the White House.
08:40In a video posted two days ago on social media, Benjamin Netanyahu had judged inconceivable
08:46that in recent months the American government can retain weapons and ammunition for Israel.
08:52The head of American diplomacy, Antony Blinken, for his part,
08:57explained that certainly the United States is pursuing the examination of the delivery of bombs specific to Israel,
09:02which had been suspended for fear that it would not be used in Rafah,
09:07but that all other military aid deliveries were taking place normally.
09:15The World Health Organization issued yesterday an alert on semaglutid-based drugs
09:21falsified for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity in some countries.
09:28In a statement, the WHO stated that this alert concerns three batches of falsified drugs
09:33containing semaglutid, which were detected in Brazil in October 2023,
09:39in the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
09:43The WHO advises health professionals, regulatory authorities and the public
09:48to take note of these batches of falsified drugs.
09:53Sudan is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in decades.
09:59According to Doctors Without Borders, there are extreme levels of suffering across the country.
10:04There is a great need for more details every day.
10:08In this story by Menel Ben Boudinar.
10:12Between death and displacement, for a little over a year now,
10:15the life of the Sudanese is governed by suffering.
10:18Famine is spreading more and more to never-before-seen levels since 1980,
10:23when it hit Ethiopia with 1.2 million deaths.
10:27According to Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Ambassador,
10:30this is the biggest humanitarian crisis on the planet
10:33and the threat of aggravating the situation is getting closer to the rainy season.
10:38This unprecedented situation, where there are already 15,000 dead,
10:42pushes even more people to move and suffer the consequences of this devastating war.
10:49We ran in the bush, then we started to move.
10:52After a while, we arrived in Nadianger.
10:56No food for us. I'm tired.
10:59There is no way to be taken to the hospital.
11:02No possibility to contact or communicate with my brothers who are left behind.
11:08For the Sudanese population, exhaustion is felt.
11:11According to the UN, 5 million Sudanese are suffering from extreme hunger
11:15and food is also lacking in neighboring countries where some have taken refuge.
11:19In these conditions, the daily life of the Sudanese is unbearable.
11:24We are very tired. We need peace.
11:27We have suffered a lot.
11:29We need schools, hospitals and equipment. We lack everything.
11:34In support of Sudan, the United States announced last week
11:38an emergency aid of 315 million dollars.
11:42Sudan always, because in Addis Ababa, Morocco learned on Friday
11:46during a high-level meeting of the Council of Peace and Security of the African Union
11:51a sustainable political solution to the crisis in the brotherly Sudan.
11:55Mohamed Harouchi, ambassador and permanent representative of the Kingdom of Morocco
11:59to the African Union, who intervened during this meeting,
12:02said that there is no other solution to the crisis in this brotherly country than the political solution.
12:08A solution that goes through a serious and constructive dialogue.
12:11The end of the suffering of the Sudanese people is the preservation of the institutions of the state.
12:16The Moroccan diplomat expressed the hope of the Kingdom of Morocco
12:20to see the military clashes in the brotherly Sudan stop,
12:23while prioritizing dialogue.
12:29In Tunisia, the date of the presidential elections has not yet been fixed,
12:33even if there are only four months left before the end of the Tunisian president's mandate.
12:39And for the opposition, this ambiguity on the date does not serve the political climate of the country.
12:45More details in this report of our correspondent on site, Nejoa Becha.
12:51The presidential elections in Tunisia should take place next October,
12:55but many doubts still surround its organization.
12:59Especially since the Tunisian president has not yet determined the date of his organization.
13:05His meeting with the head of the High Electoral Commission was unexpected,
13:11because he did not set an official date for the elections
13:15and did not announce whether he would present himself or not.
13:21In a democratic country where there is a peaceful transition of power,
13:25we want to know the candidates for the elections.
13:29We want to give them enough time to understand their projects,
13:33their programs and their political orientations.
13:38Today, the Tunisian opposition demands that a date be set for the presidential elections,
13:44in order to lift any ambiguity.
13:47A position supported by the specialists of electoral observation,
13:52who underlined the need to set the date six months in advance,
13:57so that the political class can prepare and participate in this electoral right.
14:06Nonetheless, the precise date of the elections is officially announced.
14:11Maintaining this ambiguity contributes to creating rumors
14:15and to creating an atmosphere of political tension.
14:19Because each candidate waits for the official date to be able to announce his electoral program.
14:26As for the High Electoral Commission,
14:29it confirmed that the legal deadlines are always respected by the Tunisian president.
14:35And the official spokesperson of the electoral authority
14:38has given three possibilities for the date of the scrutiny,
14:43which will be either 6, or 13, or 20 October 2024.
14:51Elections still and in Mauritania.
14:53The presidential campaign of 29 June is underway,
14:57and according to its attributions,
14:59the Constitutional Council had unveiled a definitive list of seven candidates
15:04for the first round, scheduled for eight days,
15:07with the deadline for a second round on July 13.
15:10Mohamed Oul Cheikh El Rzouani is a favorite of his own succession,
15:15and the High Electoral Commission has specified
15:18that a total of 1,930,000 voters are registered on the electoral list,
15:25which is an increase of 8% compared to those registered
15:29during the last municipal, legislative and regional elections in the country.
15:35And in the news, there is also this weather alert in the kingdom,
15:41and according to the General Directorate of Meteorology,
15:44the temperature will vary between 37 and 42 degrees
15:47from Saturday to Monday,
15:49a wave of heat expected in several provinces of the kingdom.
15:54These temperatures are expected in the provinces of Bnimellel,
15:59Shishawa and Fqibn Salah,
16:01and the provinces of Marrakech,
16:09are also affected by this wave of heat.
16:15And to have some answers on this wave of heat,
16:19I offer you some answers with Saeed Karrourk,
16:22he is a professor in climatology.
16:25We have to remember that we are still in summer,
16:29and summer in our countries, in our latitudes, is heat.
16:34So now, the heat wave is something else.
16:37The heat wave is a continuity of temperatures
16:42that occurs one, two, three days depending on the region.
16:47And this coincidence of summer sausages
16:52with this heat wave is phenomenal,
16:55since there is a flow of wind that comes from the desert,
17:00the great Sahara African desert,
17:03whether it is in the high atmospheres,
17:06whether it is on the ground,
17:08and which moves to the north.
17:10So now we are hit by this heat,
17:16in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia,
17:19but also in Spain, in Europe, in France,
17:22even in Austria, by the way.
17:25It is a situation that is more or less global
17:29on this regional level.
17:33And we open a page of culture,
17:35and this distinction of the Moroccan writer,
17:39he received the Grand Prix of the Francophonie
17:42of the French Academy for the year 2024,
17:45born in 1945 in Rabat.
17:47He is a professor at the Faculty of Letters
17:49and Human Sciences of the Capital,
17:51in Bouffetard-Cléteau.
17:53He also taught in Paris, Princeton, and Harvard.
17:57And he is also the author of many books
18:00in Arabic and French.
18:02Founded in 1986, the Palmarès for the year 2024
18:06reveals that there are 67 distinctions
18:09in the fields ranging from literature to French music,
18:12including poetry.
18:17And music now,
18:19since it's time for the 19th edition
18:22of the Mawazine Festival.
18:24Until June 29 in Rabat-Essalé,
18:27vibrate to the rhythm of international stars.
18:31And tonight, it's the Australian singer
18:34Kylie Minogue who opens the base
18:36on the OLM stage.
18:38This one.
18:39After a break of 4 years,
18:40the Mawazine Festival Rhythm of the World
18:42is back in force for its new edition.
18:44First of all, an unforgettable musical celebration
18:47organized by the Maroculture Association.
18:49This event brings together a plethora of artists
18:51of world and local renown,
18:53attracting millions of spectators
18:55and marking a major step
18:57in the international cultural calendar.
18:59Four large, open, free, and accessible
19:02landscaped stages.
19:04The large stages of the festival are designed
19:06and secured to welcome a very large audience
19:09of 15,000 to 200,000 people.
19:12The Swiss OLM, NADA, Salé, Bourg-Grec,
