00:00All right, if you have your Bible this morning, if you turn with me to the gospel of Luke,
00:08Luke the Physician.
00:09Get chapter number 4, Luke chapter number 4.
00:22And verse number 14, the gospel according to Luke chapter number 4, verse 14, and Jesus
00:34returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and there went out a fame of him throughout
00:40all the region round about.
00:42He taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
00:46He came to Nazareth where he'd been brought up, and as his custom was, he went into the
00:51synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up for to read.
00:55And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias, and when he'd opened
01:01the book, he found the place where it was written, and now he begins to read the word
01:06of God.
01:07The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to
01:13the poor.
01:14He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
01:20recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach
01:25the acceptable year of the Lord.
01:30And he closed the book and gave it again to the minister and sat down, and the eyes of
01:36all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began to say unto them, This
01:44day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
01:49May the Lord bless this holy book, in thy name I pray, amen.
01:56Our Lord Jesus Christ had a profound respect for the word of God, yes he did.
02:02I don't doubt in my mind that he could quote it verbatim from the book of Genesis all the
02:06way through Malachi, no doubt in my mind whatsoever, every last word of it, and it could be rightly
02:12divided and discerned by him because he was led of the Holy Spirit of God.
02:17He didn't come to this moment quickly and easily, he came to this moment when he had
02:23reached the time in his life when it was time for him to step forth into a public ministry.
02:30He wanted to give the occasion, the calling, the sending forth of why he was stepping out
02:37now and reading the word of God to these people.
02:40No doubt they had heard the book of Isaiah read many times in the synagogue.
02:44The word synagogue is the word synagoge in Greek, it simply means the gathering together,
02:50a place of gathering.
02:52It in no way would ever replace the temple.
02:55The temple is a place of sacrifice, the synagogue is a place of worship and praise to God and
03:00reading his word.
03:03There were many synagogues and only one temple.
03:07So the Bible says he picked the book up that was handed to him and he read from the book
03:11of Isaiah.
03:13At that time, Isaiah was 700 years old, it had been around a long time.
03:18As many have said, Isaiah is, as some call him, the prince of the prophets, 66 chapters
03:24long, 66 chapters in the word of God.
03:27The book of Isaiah is unique in that sense.
03:30It has a break at the 39th chapter and the 40th chapter and we have a break in the Bible
03:35at the 39th chapter and the 40th chapter.
03:38There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the new, which give us 66 books of Holy
03:45Scripture.
03:46The word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
03:51even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and are the joints and marrow and is the discerner
03:56of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
03:59It's alive, it's a living thing.
04:01You're hearing something this morning that is alive, like it or not.
04:05You're hearing something that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
04:08You may push it to the side and try to make it lie dormant, but it can rise in power and
04:13life at any time and you have no idea when that could happen.
04:18It is the word of God.
04:19He said to these people who'd been reading the scripture for all their lifetime, been
04:23handed to them from their fathers, this day is the scripture fulfilled in your hearing.
04:29No doubt they looked at each other and thought to themselves, now what have we got here?
04:33Is this a man that is living in delusion?
04:35Is he crazy?
04:36He's lost his mind.
04:37Why is he saying to us, this day is the scripture fulfilled?
04:41What he was saying to them was, sometimes when God comes, he doesn't come the way you
04:46expect him to.
04:47As Naaman said there, the Syrian, I thought you'd come out and say some words and wave
04:52your hands and do some kind of a religious thing, but that's not what you did.
04:57You simply said, go wash there in the Jordan River.
05:00But this is the way the word of God is.
05:03God doesn't come on like a clown.
05:05He doesn't have to approach us like some kind of a symphony.
05:10I'm all for symphonies.
05:11I love beautiful music.
05:13Don't misunderstand me.
05:15But he can come quietly as in the night.
05:17He can speak softly to the soul.
05:20He can come upon you in a way that you didn't even imagine.
05:22Fact of the matter is, he can be speaking to you right now and you didn't expect him
05:26to when you walked into this house this morning.
05:29That's the almighty.
05:31You've got to keep in mind that there is none like unto him.
05:34He said here that he had sent him to preach the gospel to the poor.
05:39Don't misunderstand this text.
05:41A lot of people think, well, what's so big about the poor?
05:44This has nothing to do with how much money they have.
05:47This has to do entirely with the situation of their life.
05:50This is what he's talking about.
05:51The money is a secondary issue.
05:55He'll take care of the money.
05:57You serve the Lord.
05:58You live for God.
05:59Your bills will get paid.
06:00You give God what belongs to him.
06:02He'll take care of the other part.
06:03Amen.
06:04A man's life does not consist in the abundance of the things that he owns.
06:08Our life is defined in a much higher, higher, higher level than what money could ever buy.
06:14And so here we say he came to preach the gospel to the poor.
06:18So what would the definition of the poor be then, preacher?
06:21Well, there's a few things.
06:22For example, you can be poor in the sense that you can be broken by life.
06:27That's a poor person.
06:28In other words, you're needful.
06:30Are you here this morning like that?
06:32Are you listening like that?
06:33Will you listen to this later like that?
06:35Will you hear it on a tape or a radio station somewhere?
06:38Have you been broken by life?
06:40You see, my friend, life is hard and it can get harder.
06:44Life can take a complete turn in the next 24 hours.
06:48Your life could be completely different than anything you have imagined to come upon you.
06:53He said, I came to preach to you.
06:54And life, my friend, you could be bound up in an addiction today.
06:58You may be dabbling around with drugs.
07:01Kids do.
07:02They, you know, they always feel impregnable.
07:04They feel indestructible.
07:06They feel like they're going to live forever.
07:08And they mess around with the stuff that'll kill them later.
07:10But they don't think it ever will.
07:12They always think I can control this.
07:14I'm the master of my life.
07:16But the truth of the matter is, you'll take it in and one day you'll wake up and realize
07:20it's controlling me.
07:22I'm a slave now to this stuff.
07:24I can't live without it.
07:26Thank God.
07:27There's good news for you.
07:28He came to preach the gospel to you.
07:30There are those of you that have lived for God.
07:32You've walked with him.
07:33You've talked with him.
07:34You've prayed with him.
07:35You, you've lived for the Lord.
07:36I mean, yet one time you served God in church, did everything you could to serve the Lord.
07:41Maybe you got hurt in church.
07:42A lot of people get hurt.
07:43I just read this past week underneath one of our messages where this person said, I've
07:48been hurt and I can imagine how they feel.
07:50I understand all of that.
07:51And you can get hurt in church.
07:53One lady said some of the meanest people she's ever known in her life are church people.
07:59That doesn't mean all church people are mean, but there's some dirty lowdown dogs.
08:02They're here.
08:03Amen.
08:04They're here.
08:05Don't make no mistake about it.
08:06But have you been hurt?
08:07Have you been broken?
08:08Have you been brought to a place like that where you don't feel the presence of God anymore?
08:12You pray and it seems like the heavens are brass, that God doesn't hear, that he's no
08:16part of your life.
08:17And you're wondering what you're doing, wandering around in life.
08:20He came to preach to you too.
08:22Amen.
08:23You may feel like today that your life is on hold, that you're not going anywhere.
08:27But there's things happening for you that you've lived and you've lived and you've lived
08:30it up.
08:31You've tried life and you're finished with it and you're ready now to call an end to
08:35it.
08:36It amazes me at how people today commit suicide and they seem like they're committing suicide
08:41in droves over things that don't matter.
08:44Amen.
08:45Let me tell you something, folks.
08:48If you ever get God in your life and the way he ought to be in your life, you'll be amazed
08:52at how you reassess stuff in your life that doesn't mean anything to you anymore.
08:58Only the Lord.
08:59If you get the Lord where he ought to be in your life, all the rest of this stuff will
09:03take its place.
09:04But you've got to get him right.
09:06So what he tells to these people is this.
09:08He says to them in Luke chapter before, he says, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
09:15to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
09:18There are many who believe and I'm one of them that he's talking about the year of Jubilee.
09:22He said, I've come to announce the Jubilee to you.
09:25Every seven years was a Sabbath year.
09:27Seven times seven is 49 years, which brings us to seven times seven, a multiplication
09:32of completion, which became a great Sabbath day because it led in to the 50th year.
09:38So the 50th year was the Jubilee year.
09:40So the 49th year and the 50th year, both were sabbatical years.
09:44People would have two years back to back where they would be in a sabbatical.
09:49They'd have a time of rest.
09:50They'd have a time of peace and their time of joy, a time of rejoicing.
09:55You say, why is that so important preacher?
09:57Aren't you rejoicing in your life today?
09:59Yes, I am.
10:00But I'm looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior, our
10:05Lord Jesus Christ.
10:06Amen.
10:07You're only going to get so much here and he's got to come and bring his kingdom with
10:10him.
10:11He's coming and he's coming again.
10:24And that's called the blessed hope, glory to God.
10:27But this Jubilee was a time when God just gave them a little touch of heaven in the
10:32midst of their land, a place.
10:33These were agricultural people.
10:35They worked the land, they plowed the fields, they lived off the land.
10:39So the time of Jubilee was a time of rest.
10:42Two years, your land now is going to lie at rest.
10:45You're not going to have to work it.
10:47You're not going to plow it.
10:48You're going to spend time together as a family.
10:50You'll pray, you'll read, you'll read the Bible and there you'll seek the face of the
10:55Lord.
10:56You'll renew friendships and fellowships and you'll strengthen the ties of your family.
11:01And this was important to almighty God and to the land of Israel.
11:04Yes it was.
11:06Back in those days, a man could sell himself off into slavery because he didn't have enough
11:10money to pay his bills.
11:12And so therefore he would become a slave by selling himself.
11:15And it was a terrible situation to come into.
11:18But you see in the year of Jubilee, on the day of atonement, the seventh month, the 10th
11:22day of the month, the trumpet was sound.
11:25And when that trumpet sounded, it was sound throughout all the land and the man was bound
11:29was free now.
11:31He was free.
11:32His bondage was broken.
11:33He was able to leave and go out and do again what he had done before.
11:37This is what it's all about, my dear friend.
11:40If you don't know the Lord, you're a slave to sin.
11:42He that committeth sin is a slave to sin.
11:45But that trumpet has sounded, it has sounded at Calvary, glory to God, and he set you free.
11:52You know the one I'm talking about today, there's freedom in Christ.
11:55Yes there is.
11:57There's freedom.
11:58And so the servant, the slave, God would not have slavery in perpetuity.
12:03He had no part of it, but he had to endure it because of the culture of the times.
12:09And so the man that was in slavery was made free.
12:13Time of rest, time of restitution.
12:15The land would restore to the people it belonged to, come back to the home.
12:20They wouldn't be, they wouldn't, in plain words, God said, there will be no poverty
12:23among my people.
12:25We will not have some rich class and people in poverty.
12:28This is not going to work in the land of Israel.
12:31Oh sorry, I'm not going to have it.
12:34Did you know my dear friend, the greatest form of government, I mean the greatest by
12:37far and away, is not democracy, oh it's not preacher, no it's a monarchy.
12:44It's a king on a throne, a good king on a throne, reigning over his people according
12:49to a law that has been written down.
12:51But the problem is, that's with a good king.
12:54You get a bad king and you're in trouble then.
12:57Yes you are.
12:58But I'll tell you right now, when the Lord Jesus Christ comes back, he doesn't come back
13:02as president of presidents, he doesn't come back as a senator, he comes back as the king
13:06of kings and lord of lords.
13:09He's going to reign on this earth in power and glory and great might, amen.
13:14King of all kings, there's only one king like him.
13:18And so our Lord Jesus Christ said, good news, I've got good news for you, good news.
13:24Those of you that are bound, you can be set free.
13:27Those of you that have lost, it's cost you dearly, you understand sin is expensive, can
13:33get real expensive, I'll restore to you the years that the canker worm hath eaten.
13:39That which is taken away from you, I can give it back to you.
13:42Some of you need that today.
13:44You need it, you need your barn filled again, you need the blessings of God on that table
13:49when you sit down and look at that plate, it won't be empty, God will have food in it
13:53and you can bow your head and say, Lord, I thank you, thank you for this meal, thank
13:58you for what you've given me, thank you for what you've done for me.
14:01The Lord hath anointed, he said, he hath anointed me, now anointing is important.
14:06You say, why is it important?
14:07Because it is God doing something to something that sets it apart completely and entirely
14:14from those around it, amen.
14:17The anointing was on the tabernacle, it was on the priesthood, it was on the instruments,
14:21it was on the furniture of the tabernacle.
14:23The anointing, my friend, was an important thing because God said, I'm going to make
14:27a holy anointing oil and you better not copy this, you do it at your own death.
14:35This oil is to set aside, to set apart those that have been anointed of God.
14:41I hear people say to me, preacher, you know, I tried preaching and it just didn't work
14:45for me.
14:46Good, good, good, go ahead and get you a job.
14:48You say, preacher, I just, I just don't feel like preaching, I just don't want to preach
14:51anymore.
14:52Good, quit, quit, go right back out where you were before.
14:55Don't let it bother you one bit.
14:57Don't let it bother you.
14:59If you don't want to preach, you quit right now.
15:01Walk out the door and I'll help you get a job, amen.
15:05But if God's called you to preach, I'm going to tell you something right now, there is
15:08absolutely nothing that will satisfy your soul.
15:11It'll be like his word moving in your bones, there'll be a fire burning inside you.
15:16There is nothing that can replace that, there is nothing that will take that call away from
15:21your life.
15:22If you have been called to preach God's word, you've been anointed, you've been touched,
15:29you've been blessed and you've been called aside.
15:31This is what we're dying from today.
15:33We got too much organization.
15:35We got too many big names, big men, big buildings, big this, big that.
15:40We think God's impressed of big stuff.
15:42Get on the internet and do a little search, do a little research, do a little search on
15:46Google and type in closed mega churches.
15:51And you'll be surprised at church buildings out there that could swallow this building
15:55up 15 or 20 times and there's not a soul in them.
16:00You know why there's nobody in that building?
16:03Let me tell you why.
16:04He said upon this rock I'll build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against
16:09it.
16:10His church is not built on Charles Lawson.
16:13It's not built on some big name.
16:15It's not built on a denomination.
16:17It's not built on a movement.
16:19It's not built on anything that our hands can lay to.
16:22His word is what our church is founded upon.
16:26His son is the very cornerstone of the church of the living God.
16:30I'm here, I'm gone.
16:32I come today, I show up for a while and then I'm gone.
16:36I pass on, my time will run out.
16:39I'll leave the earth, but his church, make no mistake about it, will stand.
16:44The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
16:47Here's what's happened.
16:49Here's what happens.
16:50And even in this state, we've had big churches built on big names and they became apostate
16:56and turned from, you know what I'm talking about, turned from God.
16:59That's a shame and a disgrace, amen.
17:03God can replace me in a heartbeat once he's done with me and I finish my course which
17:07I pray every day of my life.
17:09God use me until my course is finished.
17:12And then when you're done with me, then take me where, take me on and then put a man of
17:17God in that pulpit that will preach the word of God.
17:20But this church is not built on me, it is built on the Lord Jesus Christ.
17:25It'll stand the test of time.
17:28This is the problem today and it's a bad problem.
17:32Big names, big men, big buildings, big ministries and I'll ask you a question this morning.
17:40Give me a simple assessment of America, the good old land of the free, the home of the
17:44brave, the land of the first and second great awakening, the land of some of the greatest
17:49revivals the world's ever known, the land, my dear friend, what have we done in this
17:56country?
17:58What is the church doing today to affect the movement of America in the right direction?
18:05You hear this word all the time anymore, Christian nationalism, have you heard that one?
18:09How many just heard that?
18:10You see that crowd over there, they're good at demonizing, they create a term, they attach
18:16it to you, then they use it to demonize you.
18:20Christian nationalism.
18:21I grew up in a country, I was born into a country where we said the Pledge of Allegiance
18:27in our classrooms, the flag was brought out.
18:30We had a picture of George Washington on the wall and Abraham Lincoln.
18:34We learned about slavery.
18:35We learned about the war between the states.
18:37We learned about the struggles, the birth pains that America has been through and what's
18:42brought us to the point that we are today.
18:44When they hit that beach at Normandy, June the 6th, 1944, those men got off of those
18:49landing crafts and went into the face of those German machine guns.
18:52He didn't ask this guy if he's from Alabama or if he's from Connecticut or if he's from
18:56Mississippi.
18:57No, sir, my friend.
18:59They took their M1s and they went into hell's face and they fought for this nation.
19:05Yes, they did.
19:08This bunch of devils is taking it away from you.
19:11Amen.
19:12I got a word this morning for some of these people that say, we don't want your religion.
19:18I'm going to tell you something right now.
19:21I dare you, I double dare you to get alone.
19:25Get away from your crowd.
19:26Get away from the strength you draw from each other.
19:28You just get alone and you go out there and you look up into heaven and you look up into
19:34the sky, up into that almighty, absolute eternal being.
19:39You look up at him and you get real for a change.
19:43Don't want to hear more garbage.
19:45I've been here too long.
19:46Get real.
19:48Look up at him and say, if there's a God in heaven, show yourself.
19:52Make yourself known to me.
19:53I'm open-minded.
19:55I think I'm smart.
19:56I mean, I say there is no God.
20:00If you're a God, if there's really a God up there, then make yourself known to me.
20:06You say, what would happen, preacher?
20:11Well, I'm going to tell you what will happen.
20:13They're scared to death to do it.
20:15They're afraid to try it.
20:17They're afraid to try what might happen.
20:20They really are.
20:21They're not as tough as they think they are.
20:23They're not near as smart as they think they are.
20:26Call upon him.
20:27Call upon him.
20:28Say, well, there's no God.
20:31Not really.
20:33Try it one time and see, and you'll find out the almighty can answer you in ways that you
20:39never imagined that he can answer you.
20:42I told a man that one time came to my office, sat back here 40 years ago, said there's no
20:46God.
20:47That's what he said to me.
20:49He said, there's no God.
20:50I said, all right, then it won't bother you to go out and tell him there's no God.
20:55Go out and tell him there's no God.
20:57Just walk out there and say, there's no God up there.
20:59No God.
21:00There's no God.
21:01I'm an atheist.
21:02I'm an atheist.
21:05God doesn't exist.
21:06Oh, yeah?
21:07He did it.
21:08You know what happened to that guy?
21:10It wasn't long after that that he began to get nervous and quake, and things started
21:15bothering him.
21:16The first thing you know, his little defenses begin to break down, and somebody started
21:21talking to him, and that old boy got down on his knees and got right with that God that
21:26he didn't believe existed.
21:27He did.
21:28He did.
21:29I'm telling you the truth.
21:31He got right with the God that he said did not exist.
21:33So you're an atheist?
21:34Are you?
21:35Okay.
21:36You're an agnostic?
21:37Okay.
21:38Okay.
21:39Try it.
21:40Try it.
21:41Try it.
21:42Try it.
21:43You see, the church needs to come back to its roots.
21:44Where did we come from?
21:46We came from the Spirit of God, and the Holy Spirit in fundamentalism is pneumatology 101.
21:51The Greek word pneumatos is translated holy, spirit, pneumatos, pneumatos, the Greek word
21:56is spirit, and so the Holy Spirit is just theology 101, pneumatology 101.
22:03That's all it is.
22:04Let me tell you something, folks.
22:06Let me tell you.
22:07Let me tell you.
22:08Let me tell you.
22:09I was saved for years, years, before I really understood the fullness of the Holy Spirit
22:14of God.
22:16I got on the back porch of that house right up there on Woodrow Drive.
22:18I got down early about 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning, and my friend, the power of God came
22:23upon my soul.
22:24He moved across me in a way that had never moved upon me.
22:27I felt something I'd never felt in my life.
22:30I felt a wind from heaven blowing upon my soul.
22:33I knew God was doing something new to me that he had never done before, and I wasn't getting
22:41resaved.
22:42I'd already been born again.
22:44I was receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit of God, and from that day, I never
22:50have been a good fundamental Baptist.
22:52Amen.
22:53I never have been.
22:55I just don't fit, brother.
22:56I don't fit.
22:58I don't fit.
22:59I'm a Bible believer.
23:00I'm a Bible believer.
23:02I had charismatic folks and Pentecostal folks come around me, and I had good fellowship
23:08with a lot of them.
23:09No problem with that.
23:10I had fellowship.
23:11Listen, folks, I can fellowship with anybody that loves the Lord.
23:13I had no problem with that whatsoever, but I'm sure they all lined up and said, now give
23:17him time.
23:18Give him time.
23:20Just give him time, and he'll start speaking in tongues.
23:23I've had some fundamental Baptist preachers say, yeah, Lawson's talking in tongues.
23:27He just doesn't have enough courage to tell people, no, I haven't, folks.
23:30I haven't in a long time.
23:32God gave me a new tongue when he saved me, but I'm not up here to make fun of anybody.
23:36No, but I'm telling you this, I'm telling you the moving of the Holy Ghost of God is
23:41the coming of life and strength to our soul and to our spirit.
23:45We need the Holy Ghost of God in this house.
23:49Amen.
23:50We need the moving of the Spirit of God.
23:53Amen.
23:54Amen, amen, amen.
23:56Our Lord Jesus Christ was anointed.
23:59He was anointed by the Holy Ghost.
24:01He was set aside by the power of the Holy Spirit, and when that happened to him, my
24:05dear friend, he was set aside in such a way that he before that and he after that marked
24:11two distinct times in his life.
24:13What made him better had nothing to do with that, but what happened was that he was set
24:19apart now.
24:21He was set apart now by the Holy Spirit of God, holy unto God, it's his servant, and
24:28the Lord Jesus Christ, now everything he said, everything he did, he did it by the power
24:36of the Holy Spirit of God.
24:40Don't grieve his Holy Ghost.
24:41Don't quench his Holy Spirit.
24:43Don't do it.
24:44Oh, how much we need him today.
24:46We need the Holy Spirit.
24:48The Bible said to give the Holy Spirit to all of us if you ask him, well, I thought
24:54I got the Holy Ghost when I got saved.
24:55You did, but ask for the filling.
24:58Ask him to fill you.
24:59Draw an eye to God and he'll draw an eye to you.
25:03I can't make it without the Holy Ghost.
25:07I'm about dead without the Holy Spirit.
25:12I would have been dead a few months ago had it not been for the Holy Ghost.
25:18I would have died spiritually, but the Holy Ghost has drawn me near to Christ, and boy,
25:25has he made him alive in my life, and he's who I live for this morning, and I love him
25:31with all of my heart.
25:34This morning at 5 o'clock, I sat outside on my back porch.
25:38You wouldn't believe the fireflies.
25:39I don't know if any of you ever go out early in the morning like that, but the lightning
25:44bugs were everywhere.
25:45Did you know that people drive for hundreds of miles to come into Cades Cove and see the
25:50lightning bugs?
25:51I mean, they were everywhere.
25:54Reminded me of when I was a boy.
25:56At 2 o'clock in the sky, now you folks in the military, you know what I'm talking about.
25:59You know what 12 o'clock is.
26:00You know what 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock.
26:03You know, 2 o'clock in the sky this morning, full moon, so bright that I could see the
26:09shadow on my hand of that moon.
26:12I thought to myself, man, this is quiet.
26:17It's just a small breeze moving, nothing else, just out there, and then here's this one bird,
26:24and it's not light yet.
26:27Somebody needed to tell that bird it wasn't light yet.
26:31Birds start when it gets light.
26:34There it is, okay, just chirping away, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, and the thought
26:38came to my mind, that little bird doesn't care whether it's light or not.
26:42It's going to sing for the glory of God, and that's when I started praying.
26:48Oh boy, oh, what a prayer.
26:52How wonderful your prayers can be when you're by yourself in the dark alone.
26:57Oh, how wonderful the prayers can be, and that sweet one, the one who came to make us
27:05free, the one who preached the word to the poor, I say to him a thousand times, Lord,
27:10I'm one of the poor, and he came and he blessed me.
27:13Oh, how he blessed me.
27:16I don't deserve it.
27:17I don't deserve it, but he's blessed me, folks.
27:20He's been good to me.
27:22He's blessed me.
27:23Amen.
27:24Father, bless your word.
27:26Thank you for the goodness of God.
27:29Thank you for your graciousness and your long-suffering.
27:32Thank you for what you endure with us.
27:34Thank you when we get arrogant and proud and boastful and strut around and strut our stuff,
27:40and yet the sweet holy ghost doesn't leave us.
27:43He's still there.
27:44He works upon our heart.
27:45He moves in our soul.
27:47Thank you for that.
27:48Thank you for these good folk who've come into the house this morning.
27:52Many of them we have with us this morning, we have visitors, Lord.
27:54Thank you for the visitors.
27:56I pray they'd be blessed that they'd come here and be with us today, making such an
27:59effort to be here.
28:01I pray for them.
28:02I pray for the souls that are watching live right now online, Father, and I pray for those
28:06who'll watch later and those who'll watch this on television, or they'll listen to it
28:10on a radio station, or they'll listen to it on a tape or something.
28:13I thank you for it.
28:15Your word is not going to return void.
28:17Oh, God, we pray.
28:19I pray you'd bless your word now.
28:22In thy name I pray, and heads are bowed.
28:25I want somebody to get help this morning, but anybody in this house, raise your hand
28:29and say, Preacher Lawson, I'm that one.
28:32I'm unhalting between two.
28:34I don't deny there's a God, but I just don't know him.
28:39He needs to make himself known to me.
28:40He didn't meet.
28:42He reached into a dark, dark, dark hole.
28:45That's why I'm here this morning, folks.
28:47I didn't pull myself out of that hole.
28:49He reached into that hole and spoke to me in my darkness.
28:52Oh, my, did he ever.
28:55Would you say, Pray for me, Preacher?
28:56I will.
28:57Nobody's looking.
28:58You do it in privacy.
29:00Anybody say, Preacher, I want you to pray for me.
29:02God bless you.
29:04God bless you.
29:05God bless you.
29:07God bless you here and back there.
29:09Hands are going up all over this place.
29:10Thank you, Lord.
29:11Thank you.
29:12God bless you over here.
29:13God bless you back there.
29:15God bless you up here.
29:17Hallelujah to God.
29:18God bless you over here.
29:19Amen.
29:20Hands up.
29:21Hands everywhere, folks.
29:22All over the place.
29:23Father, in thy holy name, I pray for these dear souls who raise their hands.
29:27Oh, how you love them.
29:28Oh, how you came and died on the cross for them.
29:32Oh, how that you would bless us and give to us our heavenly Father and a heart of love.
29:37If God be for us, then who can be against us?
29:39You've been for me from day one.
29:42Even though I will rebelled against you and denied you and walked against you and everything
29:47I could possibly do, you were there for me until you called me by your grace and saved
29:52my soul.
29:53You saved my life on Clinton Highway, Lord, before I ever knew you.
29:58I could have died on that highway so easily.
30:01Oh, my.
30:03Could I have ever died on that motorcycle, but you saved me.
30:08You saved my life.
30:09Then you saved my soul.
30:11Father, I pray for them.
30:14I pray for grace this morning now.
30:15Let's just wait.
30:16Sweet Holy Spirit, do His work in this house.
30:19In thy name I pray, amen.
