00:00With less than a week to go before the first round of a surprise snap election, the left-wing
00:08Popular Front Alliance in France is relying on new volunteers to woo voters.
00:15Many of the newly enrolled volunteers have very little experience, yet they are heading
00:21outside of Paris to help where candidates are battling to not fall too far behind the
00:27far-right National Rally Party.
00:30We get a lot of news every day and I was the only one a bit old-fashioned, so I only had
00:37news in front of me. Usually we make new old-fashioned teams to familiarize and train.
00:43So we did an express training and we sent them. That's how we learn too and it went
00:49very well for everyone.
00:52Many young people are worried about the dangers of having the National Front as their government.
01:12During the European elections, more than a third of the far-right party's voters
01:18were aged between 25 and 34, yet more than one in two voters aged 18 to 24 abstained
01:26from voting altogether.
01:29Candidates can all but hope that the turnout for the snap elections will be higher.
