Biotech, Scornajenchi (CDP Venture Capital): “Entro 2028 investimenti per mezzo mld euro”
(Adnkronos) - “Abbiamo deciso di concentrarci su quelli che sono i settori maggiormente strategici per lo sviluppo del Paese. Uno di questi sono le biotecnologie su cui nel 2028 prevediamo oltre mezzo miliardo di investimento”. Lo ha detto l’amministratore delegato e direttore generale di CDP Venture Capital, Agostino Scornajenchi, a margine del convegno ‘Competitività, il nodo della ricerca, il ruolo dell’impresa’, organizzato in occasione dell’assemblea di Assobiotec tenutasi a Roma.

01:002028, will provide a total allocation of over half a billion on these technologies.
01:06Italy is certainly in a phase of strong growth in investments in the iScience sector.
01:13We have reached 250 million euros in the course of 2023.
01:17We are still at low numbers if we compare it with other European ecosystems.
01:22France in the same year spent 1.2 billion, Germany spent 1 billion.
01:27The positive fact is that we are in strong growth, we have an extremely developed research
01:32ecosystem and for this reason it is important to invest in all the phases of venture capital
01:37that concern research and development.
01:40This is because we have to invest from the point of connection between research and patents,
01:46between research and enterprise, which is our technology transfer tool.
01:50We have a technology transfer fund that has several polytechnologies scattered around
01:55the territory and whose purpose is to help young researchers, young students, to build
02:02proof of concept, to build those patents that become the basis for future enterprises
02:07that will be able to develop business within the country at that point.
