The report by the Special Committee to Review the Competency of the State Legislative Assemblies to Enact Islamic Laws is expected to be completed before the end of the year, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (June 27).

00:09The government always strives and takes proactive steps
00:13in the effort to regulate the Islamic Law
00:16according to the framework established by the United Nations.
00:20In connection with that, the Special Envoy for State Legislation

00:31on the issue of the competence of the State Legislature
00:34to amend the Islamic Law
