00:00As of the end of May this year, the 5G network coverage in residential areas across the country
00:11has reached 81.7% coverage.
00:18The availability of this 5G network is not only in high-density areas and cities alone.
00:26As of now, around 54% of the 5G network coverage has been covered in both urban and rural areas.
00:40The Ministry of Digital through the DNB
00:46is collaborating with telecommunications companies,
00:49the Ministry of Communication and Multimedia,
00:53and the industry so that we can promote and increase the use of 5G.
01:02As of April this year,
01:07the data shows that there are around 13 million 5G providers across the country
01:15and we have an adoption rate of 39.2%.
01:24Also for your information,
01:28a total of 3,826 sites out of a total of 7,114 5G sites that have been prepared
01:38are located in urban and rural areas.
01:42Regarding whether or not the DNB will provide external services from telecommunications services,
01:50that is a good question.
01:52We all know that 5G is an effort to increase the development of our industries.
02:01So it should be industry-focused and that is where we see the real value.
02:06So what we are doing now is we are doing a gathering
02:09to ensure that every industry in this country has access to 5G
02:16so that new businesses that are moving forward in this country
02:20can ensure that the infrastructure they use is an infrastructure
02:24that can use new technologies, especially 5G,
02:28and they can ensure that their factories have new technology.
02:36In that situation, I think we can see more output
02:40and this will have a direct impact on the condition of our country's GDP.
02:46And we hope that moving forward,
02:48even though my ministry has released data,
02:52in 2022, we broke through 23.5% of GDP.
02:57Our target for the end of 2025 is 25.5%.
03:03But I am sure that if there is a higher adoption by industries,
03:11we can see that the target is higher.
03:15What is needed is for us to ensure that we provide infrastructure,
03:19we also ensure that the infrastructure costs or the costs used to use this new technology, 5G,
03:26are cost-effective and we can assure and also encourage all industries
03:31to see how they can ensure that their business is technology-ready
03:37so that they can use new technology and that will increase their business performance.
03:42So DNB is indeed planning, along with SKMM,
03:45a plan on how we can ensure that we look at all industries that need access to 5G
03:52and we will take steps to provide our country
03:56with what is called a revolution of industries and challenges in the future.
04:01I hope that answers your question. Thank you.
