00:00Where the wild things are.
00:29Korean Pictures by Marie Sendak
00:37The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind and another.
00:51His mother called him wild thing and Max said, I'll eat you up.
00:58So he was sent to bed without eating anything.
01:05That very night in Max's room, a forest grew and grew and grew until his ceiling hung with
01:22vines and the walls became the world all around.
01:30And an ocean tumbled by with a private boat for Max and he sailed off through the night
01:36and day and in and out of weeks and almost over a year to where the wild things are.
01:52And when he came to the place where the wild things are, they roared their terrible roars
01:59and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible
02:05claws till Max said, be still and tamed them with the magic trick of staring into all their
02:17yellow eyes without blinking once.
02:21And they were frightened and called him the most wild thing of all and made him king of
02:31all wild things.
02:33Now, cried Max, let the wild rumpus start.
03:03Now, stop, Max said and sent the wild things off to bed without their supper.
03:12In Max, the king of all wild things was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best
03:18of all.
03:20Then all around from far away across the world, he smelled good things to eat.
03:27So he gave up being king of where the wild things are.
03:34But the wild things cried, oh, please don't go.
03:38We'll eat you up.
03:39We love you so.
03:42And Max said, no, the wild things roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible
03:49teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws.
03:55But Max stepped into his private boat and waved goodbye.
04:02And sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks and through a day.
04:12And into the night of his very own room where he found his supper waiting for him.
04:22And it was still hot.
04:28I hope you enjoyed that story.
