00:00Hi, I'm Liberty. I'm here with NME at Glastonbury 2024. We're at the Terminal 1 stage for a
00:11new introduction. And Miguel, how are you?
00:13Hola, very good. Thank you very much.
00:15Okay, tell us a bit about Terminal 1.
00:17Well Terminal 1 is the new part of Glastonbury this year and it's a celebration of travelling
00:23communities. Glastonbury has a history of having welcomed travelling marginalised communities
00:28and by repurposing design from Terminal 1, the old Terminal 1 and creating this new space.
00:34The intent is to make this a space where we celebrate diversity, where we celebrate travelling
00:40communities, migration and the motto and the idea that no one is legal. So we're having
00:46a space curated with international artists. We have artists from Rwanda, we have artists
00:52from Colombia, from Latin America, from Cali and we also have a series Notting Hill Carnival
00:57is also involved. It is staffed by CAIWU, which is a cleaners' union. We have musicians
01:03from diverse backgrounds as well. So the whole point is just to be celebrating migration
01:07as an important part and also there's crucial political and social time. We all, one way
01:13or another, at some point are migrants, have been migrants or will need to migrate. So
01:17we should all be compassionate and attack the policies in a way that welcomes people.
