00:00You're finally taking your dream vacation and find out that it's going to rain for most of your trip.
00:07If you wind up facing a ton of inclement weather on your trip, one of the best things to do is to be proactive and plan ahead of time for that.
00:15Just because the forecast isn't what you hoped for doesn't mean it has to ruin your vacation.
00:20Bring easy-to-pack entertainment with you, like iPads, books and card games.
00:25Take it as a chance to read that book, to binge watch that series on Netflix that you've been putting off.
00:31Even though that may not be exactly what you wanted to do on vacation,
00:35there's something about doing those activities outside of your home in a new location that can be a little bit more enjoyable.
00:42If you're vacationing somewhere more remote, like the beach or the mountains, see what you can do right where you're staying.
00:48Many hotels and resorts have indoor pools, spas and gyms.
00:52If you're vacationing in a more populated area, you may be able to find a lot more activities that will keep you dry.
00:58You have museums, there are children's museums.
01:01Oftentimes you'll have even just local movie theaters if there's a flick that you want to catch.
01:06So definitely investigate some of those options.
01:09Extreme heat can also be hard to navigate on vacation.
01:13Make sure to bring plenty of water and items that can keep you and your family cool.
01:17Bring those cooling towels where you wet them at the beginning of the day.
01:20You throw them between your back and your backpack if you're walking around or even just carry them around your neck.
01:26Even misting fans, portable fans, carry anything possible to help you weather the heat.
01:32This way, you'll still have plenty of memories, regardless of what Mother Nature decides to do.
