00:15So I heard that you guys have been approached over the years to sequelize films from the
00:21Conetto trilogy.
00:22What sort of approaches have been made?
00:26Just constant badgering.
00:28No, it was more the fact that we did Hot Fuzz instead of doing a Shaun of the Dead 2.
00:32We immediately kind of like, we didn't want to do a sequel to the film, we wanted to do
00:37something else.
00:38And I think that was basically how we continued on with it.
00:41So I don't think at a certain point, there's definitely been suggestions of spinoffs, but
00:47I mean, I feel like we just wanted to tell different stories and do things in the same
00:53tone, so we do tonal sequels or things that, you know, the Conetti trilogy isn't really
01:00a trilogy.

01:04That's the next one we're going to do.

01:11Yeah, I mean, that's why it is the Cornetto trilogy, so-called, is because each of those
01:17films is a sequel of the other, you know?
01:21I feel like with all of those films, it's a story, it has a beginning, a middle, and
01:25an end.
01:26And I'm fine, you know, there are some of my favourite films are sequels, and I think
01:29sequels are an important part of filmmaking, but some films just don't need to be furthered.
01:37And I think sometimes people just want to see the same thing again, and it's a kind
01:40of a sense of, it's better to challenge people and give them something they don't necessarily
01:46want than it is to just give them what they want, because that's kind of boring.
01:51For Sean, particularly, Sean is a story which has a beginning, a middle, and an end, and
01:56there's nothing to do afterwards, there's no more story to tell after that.
