00:00Joining us right now is AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Jonathan Porter, and John,
00:04we have a very important announcement here and we wanted to bring you on. You and the forecasting
00:10team have made an important decision. That's right, we're looking at down the road in terms
00:15of the barrel impacts and for all the factors that you mentioned, we are going to clear,
00:20indicate that there's virtually no risk of direct impacts along the U.S. East Coast and the Florida
00:25Peninsula from barrels. So that's direct rain and wind impacts, virtually no risk in those areas.
00:31We do have concerns though in other parts of the Gulf. Let's talk about the rest of the Gulf of
00:35Mexico here, John, based on what we talked about here. Let's talk about our map in the Gulf of
00:41Mexico and let's talk about some probabilities here that you and the forecasting team have just
00:46come up with. That's right, this is another exclusive AccuWeather tool. You'll see that here
00:51only at AccuWeather to help you understand what the risks are and notice what we're showing here
00:56is the percent risk of rain and wind, direct rain and wind impacts from barrel. And notice that
01:01along the Gulf Coast from Panama City, so the panhandle of Florida, west to New Orleans toward
01:07Port Arthur, very low risk here, zero to twenty percent chance really, and you head further east,
01:13this is very low risk, single digits from New Orleans over to Panama City. But further south
01:18and west, notice the risk increases up to 20 to 40 percent from Port Arthur down to Corpus Christi
01:24and then the greatest risk actually 40 to 60 percent for direct rain and wind impacts from
01:29Corpus Christi down at Brownsville. That's the area we think we really need to watch.
01:33And you know, John, one of the ways you can stay safe, not only watching the AccuWeather network
01:38and AccuWeather.com, but let's also talk about all of the products on the AccuWeather app,
