00:00Seeing the sights.
00:04There are lots of wonderful sights to see on the island of Sundal.
00:10One summer's day, Thomas was given a very special job.
00:16Thomas, said the Fat Controller,
00:18you are to collect some very important visitors from the mainland.
00:23They are arriving at Brendam Docks.
00:27Yes, sir, tooted Thomas happily.
00:30I will show them all the sights on Sodal.
00:38Thomas puffed happily towards Brendam Docks.
00:52Thomas pulled up at the gangplank.
00:55Welcome aboard, he tooted.
00:58I will show you all the wonderful sights of Sodal.
01:03Just then, Gordon steamed in.
01:07I should be showing the sights to the important visitors, he sniffed.
01:12Why? puffed Thomas.
01:14Because, wheezed Gordon,
01:16I could show them round much more quickly than you.
01:20Then they would see everything there is to see on Sodal.
01:25Thomas was cross.
01:28I can show them all the sights just as quickly as you can, he whistled.

01:36Thomas heard carriage doors slam.
01:40Everyone's on board, he thought,
01:43and he chuffed away as quickly as he could.

01:53Then there was trouble.
01:55Thomas had left some of the visitors behind.
02:03Later, Thomas had to wait at a signal.
02:07Bertie the bus drove up.
02:10He had picked up the visitors Thomas had left behind.
02:15Bertie honked his horn, but the signal had changed,
02:20and Thomas puffed away.
02:23Thomas was in a hurry.
02:25Silly tank engine, part Bertie.
02:28I will have to chase after you.
02:32The children on board Bertie thought a chase was great fun.
02:40Thomas arrived at Black Lock.
02:43Everyone out to see the seals, he tooted.
02:46Hurry up, hurry up.
02:48The visitors took their cameras to see Black Lock.
02:52Thomas had to wait.
02:54He didn't like waiting.
02:56He had to show the visitors all the sights.
02:59Otherwise, he thought, I won't be as fast as Gordon.
03:06Time to go, he peeped loudly.
03:11Thomas heard a carriage door slam.
03:14Everyone must be on board, he thought.
03:17And Thomas chuffed away as fast as he could.
03:22But Thomas had left more of the visitors behind.
03:29Soon, Thomas arrived at the Scottish Castle.
03:32Everyone out, he peeped.
03:34Hurry up, hurry up.
03:36Then Thomas had to wait again.
03:39He wheezed some steam and he started to worry.
03:43We'll never see everything if we don't hurry up, Thomas wheezed.
03:47Everyone back on board, please.
03:52Just then, Gordon steamed in.
03:56Flatten my funnel, sniffed Gordon.
03:59You haven't seen many sights.
04:01Yes, we have, and we're going to see more, huffed Thomas.
04:05Huffed Thomas, he was cross.
04:07He puffed away as quickly as he could.
04:11But more visitors were left behind.
04:16Thomas steamed in to the fishing village.
04:21Here's the next sight, he puffed.
04:24Everybody out, please.
04:27But Thomas couldn't hear any carriage doors opening.
04:32He was puzzled.
04:34Just then, Bertie arrived.
04:37What's happening? asked Thomas.
04:40No one's getting out, Thomas, beeped Bertie.
04:44Because no one is left on board.
04:49Thomas was surprised.
04:51Cinders and ashes, gasped Thomas.
04:54You were in so much of a hurry, you left them all behind.
05:00Thomas was upset.
05:03I must go back and pick everyone up.
05:06But first he collected the visitors from Bertie the Bus.
05:10And he steamed back to the castle.
05:19He picked up his passengers.
05:29And puffed quickly back to Black Lock.
05:34With all the visitors on board, Thomas set off again.
05:42Thomas had to stop at a junction.
05:45He looked at the view of the sea.
05:48It was beautiful.
05:50I wish we could stay here all day, Thomas wished.

06:04The visitors looked out of the windows.
06:06Their faces smiled when they saw the blue sea and the golden yellow sand.
06:13Suddenly Thomas had an idea.
06:16We will stay here all day, he whistled.
06:23The visitors had a lovely time.
06:28Making sand castles, riding donkeys and eating ice creams.
06:36Thomas was very happy.
06:40You won't see all the sights eating ice creams, sniffed Gordon.
06:45It's better to see one place properly than lots of places in a hurry, Thomas chuffed happily.
06:52And all the visitors agreed.
