00:17Najib Razak's lawyer, Shafi Abdullah, has challenged the government to openly deny the existence of the supplementary decree

00:25purportedly issued by the former Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

00:29The decree allegedly permits the former Prime Minister to serve the remainder of his prison term under house arrest.

00:36Earlier today, Kuala Lumpur High Court dismissed Najib's application to compel the government to produce the decree.

00:43Shafi then said Najib intends to appeal the High Court ruling and is also considering bringing a writ action.

00:50I sent five letters to all those who are concerned.

00:54The Attorney General, Lembaga Pengampunan, the Minister of Law in charge of Lembaga Pengampunan, Federal Territory Minister.

01:02I have sent CCs to the Prime Minister, to the Deputy Prime Minister.

01:07The lawyer said that, according to evidence law, the government's silence may be taken as an adverse reason.

01:14Shafi added that the government would be compelled to confirm the existence of the addendum if it responded.

01:21He went on to say the government is playing deaf and mute, hide and seek,

01:26adding that one day it will surface and it will come out in the most ugly fashion.
