00:00Federal Territories Minister Dr. Zaliha Mustafa has denied issuing a statement said to be
00:06from her office regarding a purported supplementary order placing former Prime Minister Najib
00:10Razak under house arrest.
00:12The statement, circulated online, claimed that the addendum supposedly issued by former
00:17King Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah was legitimate.
00:21In a posting on X, Zaliha said this is an irresponsible act and she will take legal
00:25action against anyone who issues or spreads this false media statement.
00:29The fake statement emerged a day after former Prime Minister Najib Razak filed an application
00:34seeking to adduce fresh evidence in the Court of Appeal to prove the existence of a supplementary
00:38order allowing him to serve the remainder of his jail term under house arrest.
00:43The hearing of his appeal was later adjourned.
00:46On February 2nd, the Federal Territories Pardons Board announced that Najib's prison sentence
00:50in his SRC International case had been halved from 12 years to six and his fine reduced
00:55from 210 million ringgit to 50 million ringgit.
00:58Najib is currently serving his jail sentence at Kajang Prison.
