The first 'new' MP of election night has this message for Sunderland.

00:00So, I want to thank the people of Sunderland Central for placing their trust in me as their
00:04new MP, and my job now is to work my socks off for everyone in Sunderland Central, whether
00:09they voted for me or not.
00:11It looks like we've got the new Labour government that the city so desperately needs, and it's
00:18our job now to deliver on the priorities that we've set out.
00:22Economic stability, improved NHS access, including dentistry, more neighbourhood policing, tackling
00:29anti-social behaviour, and opportunity for all, including more teachers in our schools.
