00:00So my name's Mark Sewards, I'm the Labour MP for Leeds South West and Morley.
00:04We're at the count tonight at the John Charles Sports Centre
00:06and I've just been elected as the Labour MP for my home.
00:09It feels incredible and the reason is that I was born and raised in this constituency.
00:14I'm raising my family in this constituency.
00:17My entire life has been spent within these boundaries
00:20and it's crucial to me that now I get on with the job
00:23of actually representing the people that I've grown up alongside and live alongside too.
00:28One of the things that came up on the doorstep time and time again
00:30was the state of our NHS and the inability of people to get GP appointments on time
00:35or when they need them.
00:36This is something that we must have a laser focus on solving over the next five years.
00:41But I'm confident that a Labour government led by Keir Starmer,
00:45a Health Secretary, where's Streeting?
00:47We'll get that job done and we'll get those waiting lists down.
