00:07The following is a 10-minute challenge requested by Lars Fredriksen.
00:14Introducing the competitors, Danny Luna and the wild child, Jodie Drex.
00:21We're gonna try and gather ourselves here in the Impact, so there's certainly an unsteady feeling after what we saw before the break.
00:28The attack by NXT's Charlie Dempsey.
00:32And to add that in with the chaotic energy of the wild child, Jodie Drex, Danny Luna's spitfire here.
00:38Yeah, she's trying to catch our bearings, I'm sure.
00:41Hopefully, we'll get some more answers on that as the rest of the night goes on.
00:47So, as you heard just moments ago from Jade Chung, this match was set up by Lars Fredriksen, who has been mentoring Danny Luna and Jodie Drex.
00:55Set up this one-on-one match as a final test before they can enact their contractual rematch for a TNA Knockouts World Tag Team title match.
01:05We've seen Lars Fredriksen talk to these two about wanting them to know each other better than they know themselves.
01:14They've been closely watching each other's matches, reviewing their tag matches, watching their singles matches.
01:20Chaos with Tasha Steeles a couple weeks ago. All that. He wants them to know each other inside and out.
01:26And what better way, I gotta give it to Lars, what better way than to lock horns.
01:31That's how you truly, truly know somebody.
01:34I agree with Lars' decision, however, we have seen very recently here, the ABC, Chris Bay and Ace Austin,
01:41there were tensions within the tag team, they went at it one-on-one.
01:45Chris Bay defeated Ace Austin, they seem to have put their issues behind them. Will the same happen with Spitfire?
01:50I was trying to stay positive, Tom, but if you're going to introduce the doubt, I'm going to jump on it.
01:56I think it's a fair point to bring up, you know about tag teams, it doesn't always go right.
02:01Look, at the end of the day, we've got a time limit here, we're going to see who's the best of the best out of these two.
02:07And so, if we get a decision in that time limit, somebody's going to be the loser.
02:13I hate to put it that bluntly, but somebody in this tag team will be the loser.
02:18And you kind of have to live with that. You can shake hands, you can hug, you can say it's all good.

03:28You mentioned the matches with Tasha Steeles, it was Jody Threat who got a little bit emotional during that matchup
03:33and lost to Steeles, and then Luna defeated Steeles and could speculate, maybe there's some animosity there.
03:39Luna, able to catch Threat, maybe thinking about a fall away slam, and Threat able to evade.

05:09A lot of respect at the beginning of this matchup. Maybe the tension starting to get to these two as well.
05:15As you know better than anybody, you step between those ropes, the competitor in you comes out.

05:51Both these members of Spitfire had been so evenly matched.
06:00And now Luna off of the ropes, went for the low clothesline there. Threat felt it coming.
06:05These two know each other very well. Threat connects with that, wanted a kick out by Luna.
06:11I tell you that was the goal of Lars Fredricksen.
06:14To get these two on the same page, to get them to know each other as well as they know themselves.
06:25It's been a chaotic start to Impact tonight.

07:08Oh, and a big right hand there by Threat.
07:13Right to the midsection there, Threat with a pump kick.
07:16About seven minutes in now to this ten minute challenge.
07:20Standard match rules apply, you can win via pinfall, submission, count out or disqualification.
07:27Now to get it done in these next couple of minutes here.
07:30That does not bode well for Jody Threat.
07:34Again, I like the decision by Lars Fredriksen.

07:39It's about the competition, it's about a final test.
07:42Learning what your partner is best at.
07:49Down to two here and Danny Luna does have to entertain the possibility of taking this via count out.
07:55As I just mentioned, standard rules of a wrestling match, but it's a ten minute limit.
07:59Oh, it is her tag partner, though you did hear her very deliberately ask Threat, is she okay?
08:05You know, not lightly taking this count out, that's for sure.
08:08Seven, Threat does make it back in between the ropes.

08:15And now, looking to bring Danny Luna outside.
