00:00Hello everyone, now it amazes me, I have never heard of this company, White Takers, before.
00:09And the reason why it amazes me, because it's been established since 1896.
00:16So it's almost been a hundred and thirty years, a hundred and thirty years.
00:22And this man loved chocolate.
00:24So he made it at home, and he had a horse, and he had a little stroller, and he went
00:30around selling his chocolate on the streets, and people were loving it.
00:37Just loving it in New Zealand.
00:41So this is made in New Zealand, and that's where he made it at home, and it just became
00:48a huge, huge success.
00:50A hundred and thirty years, he never sold it, the family still operates it.
00:54When he passed, his kids took it over, and so forth, and so forth.
00:59And now it's been a hundred and thirty years later, and they still make these bars.
01:02I am shocked, I've never heard of this.
01:05Now the history is in the back, so whatever I missed in the history, it's actually at
01:09the back there.
01:10Now this is 33% cocoa, and cocoa is very good for you, it's like hot chocolate, you know.
01:20But this is a creamy milk chocolate one.
01:24And it's Rainforest Alliance down there, Rainforest Alliance as well.
01:29And the ingredients here is, calories are 220, fat is 17, trans fat is 43, fiber is
01:396, sugar is 20%, sodium is 1%, potassium is 4, calcium is 8, and iron is 3.
01:49It's sugar, cocoa, solid, butter, cocoa mass, milk powder, soy.
02:00So there's not really a lot of ingredients here.
02:03May contain peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten, so it's not gluten free.
02:07But it's a fairly big bar, it cost me about six bucks, and like I said, I've never heard
02:10of the company.
02:12So now I'm going to open it, and that's a nice little package there, it's in this.
02:26You know, I kind of wish it was in pieces already, it would have been kind of cool,
02:30you open it up, it's in pieces, you zip it, you unzip it, you take a piece, just a little
02:35piece like this, oh, it even has it's name on each piece.
02:40So let's see here.
02:53Actually, I have to admit, I really like this.
03:04Actually, this is a really good chocolate bar, I'm really shocked, I've never heard
03:07of this before.
03:11There's the names right there.
03:18Wet Taker, Wet Takers, if I'm saying that right, I actually really like this bar.
03:24Palm oil, palm oil free, so I didn't see that.
03:32You know what, I highly recommend this bar, this is actually really good, I'm actually
03:36quite impressed.
03:39A company that didn't sell it, they kept it in the family all these years, that's impressive
03:44on it's own.
03:48The person who made chocolate at home, I had a friend a long time ago, that before they
04:00changed all the laws, in his basement, he had kind of like a butcher shop, and he would
04:06cut all this meat, and he would put it in his truck, in the back, in the freezer, and
04:14he would go to Toronto, and he would sell it at high end restaurants.
04:18And his meat was fantastic, and he was a movie guy too, and that's how I knew him.
04:23He would always work really hard, cutting his meat, taking it to Toronto, selling it,
04:30and he always had high end restaurants that would take his meat, like steaks and pork
04:35and stuff like that, it was fantastic.
04:37He would rush back and see a movie in the theater.
04:41And I was an usher at the time, so he was a really great fella, he actually had a friend
04:46also that was a chef.
04:50That's what it reminds me of when I read a story like this.
04:53A person making chocolate at home, and has a family operated business all this long.
04:59But they changed rules now, so you can't do certain things at home anymore.
05:10You know what, I've got to stop eating this, because I'm going to eat the whole thing.
05:18This is absolutely fantastic, I'm just shocked, I've never heard of the company before.
05:23Considering I thought I had all sorts of chocolate, this is really nice, really nice chocolate,
05:28really worth it, and I can guarantee you, once you start, well I can't guarantee you,
05:32because you might not like it, I'm sure there's other bars out there that might be better
05:36than this, but I don't know.
05:38I give this a 9 out of 10.
05:40This is a really good chocolate bar, it's incredible actually.
05:44Oh, wow, that is really good.
05:49No aftertaste, really nice and sweet, it would actually really go nice as a milk,
05:54they could actually, maybe they do have something with powder,
05:58and this would be a nice, nice chocolate milk.
06:02I'm shocked at how good this is.
06:049 out of 10 everybody, a company that's still in the family,
06:08White Takers, I highly recommend it.
06:10Bye for now, check out my other food reviews, movie reviews,
06:13and it's too bad they changed the law, unless they changed it back,
06:17where people can do things at their home, and do things,
06:20like in the States, obviously, there's rules everywhere that are different,
06:24but just here in Ontario, they've changed the law,
06:27but I don't know, maybe the law changed again, they change all the time so rapidly,
06:31like back when I was young, I could jump in a truck,
06:34and go all the way to Toronto in a truck, you know,
06:37I could be, like in a, like it was just different, really different back then,
06:43you know, if you remember the 80s, and you remember playgrounds,
06:46this is actually making me, reminding me of a whole bunch of things from the 80s,
06:50you know, there were playgrounds made of steel, hot steel,
06:53you'd be sliding down a slide, and it would be like burning hot on your back,
06:58and you didn't care, because you're a kid.
07:01Anyway, I'm going on and on.
07:03Check out my movie reviews, history, much more,
07:06and definitely check out this chocolate bar,
07:08and bye for now everyone, and have an incredible day.
07:11So good.
