00:00The Nile crocodile is arguably one of the best adapted animals on this planet.
00:06It's remained unchanged for millions of years, and the reason it hasn't changed is because it hasn't had to.
00:11It's the perfectly adapted predator. It can do without food for a year, it can slow down its heart rate,
00:17it's one of the fastest animals on the planet, and so it can lie in wait,
00:21taking as much time as it needs for the perfect opportunity to present itself where it's going to be able to feed.
00:27The people that are relying on this water source for drinking, for bathing, for washing their clothes,
00:33are constantly coming and going from the river, so when you've got a predator with the ultimate patience,
00:39they're going to see that human as food, and sooner or later, they're going to eat people.
