PSA reminds public of P100-K fine, imprisonment for refusal to participate in agency’s census

00:00The Philippine Statistics Authority, or PSA, warns that refusing to participate in the National
00:05Population Census and Survey can result in penalties including imprisonment and fines
00:10up to 100,000 pesos under Republic Act No. 10625. The PSA is deploying 70,000 enumerators nationwide
00:18for the 2024 POPCEN CBMS starting July 15 to update the National Population Inventory
00:25and also identify beneficiaries for social programs. Legitimate enumerators will wear
00:30PSA logo t-shirts and identification cards with specific details. Enumerators are prohibited from
00:37asking for confidential bank information or soliciting money. Report any misconduct to
00:42the nearest PSA branch.
