00:00Stay tuned. It's going to get dramatic.
00:02That was really well timed.
00:05We've got to go! We've got to go!
00:19The once-in-a-generation tornado outbreak continues across Oklahoma.
00:23It's so magic to be here filming Twisters.
00:26I'm a huge fan of the original, so I just kind of can't believe
00:29that we've dropped into this world.
00:31Oh, she's perfect!
00:33She's gorgeous!
00:35The original Twister, when it came out, it meant a great deal to me
00:38because I was watching a film that took place around where I grew up.
00:42I grew up on a farm just outside of Westville, Oklahoma,
00:46and that terrain, that landscape is a part of me.
00:50Just another good day and good weather here in Oklahoma.
00:53The fact that we're getting to shoot this in Oklahoma is really crucial,
00:56and also, it's such a character in the movie.
00:58It's all about community, it's all about home,
01:00and it's all about this mutual love of the way everyone looks up at the sky
01:03with reverence and awe.
01:07No, stop!
01:09When we were filming in Oklahoma in the summer,
01:11we kept having to shut down for actual weather.
01:14Ladies and gentlemen, listen up!
01:16We are unfortunately in a lightning delay.
01:18My first night coming here, we go to eat after,
01:21and the windows are rattling at the spot,
01:24and I'm like, yo.
01:27People that are background actors are actual storm chasers,
01:30so in between takes, I just got everyone coming up to me,
01:33just, hey, if you ever want to go on a chase, let me know.
01:35If you feel it...
01:36Chase it!
01:38We are in the Mecca for tornadoes,
01:40so to have crew members literally leave set and go to storm chase
01:43is a really unique thing.
01:45Let's ride.
01:47We've all seen clouds over the course of our lives,
01:49but very rarely do you understand them.
01:51Look out!
01:52I think that's the magic of a movie like this.
01:54It breeds curiosity and it breeds fascination
01:56with stuff we've been seeing every day for our whole lives.
01:58What we're doing could save thousands of lives.
02:01You think you can disrupt a tornado?
02:03We never had a chance.
02:05You want one?
02:06This is a film about science, it's about hope,
02:08it's about people trying to work together to solve problems,
02:12and it's also about revering and honoring,
02:14respecting and loving nature.
