00:11hope of contesting the by-election for the Nanggiri state seat in Kelantan next month.

00:16Several PAS leaders, including Guamusang Chief Azman Ahmad, had suggested that Bersatu should

00:21step aside for PAS in the Nanggiri seat, citing voters' disconcern that a Bersatu candidate

00:26could switch sides again.

00:28Kamarudin said while that was Azman's opinion, there was no issue because PAS also had a

00:33history of representatives switching sides, pointing out that Husam Musa and Mohamad Sabu

00:37were also from PAS.

00:39Mohamad, once PAS' deputy president, left in 2015 to form Amana, while Husam, a former

00:44PAS vice-president, joined Amana in 2016 after being sacked by the Islamic Party.

00:50Nevertheless, Kamarudin said there was no issue of tussles between the Perikatan Nasional

00:55components for the Nanggiri seat.

00:57He said he was confident that Bersatu would be allowed to defend the seat, as it was previously

01:01won by a candidate from the party.
