00:00And of course, on Wednesday afternoon, it was the prime era and year number two in Colorado
00:09getting off to a start with Deion Sanders at the podium.
00:13Joe, as we look at the football perspective for Colorado this year, Donnie and I had the
00:18debate kind of like we just did with the New York Jets when there's so much notoriety and
00:23attention for a team that has struggled to even see the playoffs in the last decade plus.
00:29What does actual success look like for a Colorado team that was four and eight a season ago
00:35in year number one under Deion Sanders?
00:38What does success look like in year number two?
00:41Yeah, we talked about it on the radio, Ben.
00:44Success in year two is six and six and a bowl appearance.
00:47That would be the biggest thing for Colorado to get back at least over the hump and have
00:51their sights set on year number three with the Deion era.
00:55The biggest question, Ben, and we talked about it again, does Deion want to be there
00:59from years three to five?
01:01If so, the six win possibility is well within reach.
01:05They have winnable games.
01:07They have the type of quarterback in Shadour Sanders to outscore teams.
01:11What do you get from the defense?
01:12They were pathetic against the run.
01:14And most importantly, the offensive line broke down 50 plus sacks allowed.
01:18They need to run the football better as well.
01:21If they can get the six wins, that's a huge accomplishment.
01:25But these tickets on them winning a national championship or breaking down the college
01:30football playoff door, you got to get real.
01:34They got a tough game right out of the gate against NDSU.
01:36We'll see what happens with North Dakota State University, certainly a quality program.
01:40But let's move on to some other power five conferences.
01:43You got the ACC, the Big 12, the Big 10 and the SEC.
01:46A lot of changing parts here moving through and through favorites here.
01:50Florida State in the ACC, Utah in the Big 12, the Big 10 still with Ohio State, and
01:54then you have Georgia at a plus 185 in the SEC.
01:57With the changing landscape of college football, give us some teams there in those power conferences
02:01that you might be looking forward to to win those conferences.
02:03Yeah, I mean, the ACC, I'm dialed into Florida State because I believe they have the best
02:09roster.
02:10Donnie, I mean, Clemson is appealing at four to one in Louisville.
02:13They made it to the ACC championship game last year and in the first year with Jeff
02:18Brown.
02:19So it's going to be a team that has odds at 10 to one in the Big 12.
02:22I know Utah is the front runner, but the conference realignment scares me.
02:26Kyle Whittingham, is he all dialed in?
02:28What do you get out of Cam Rising?
02:31So I'm going to go with my guy, Texas Tech and Joey McGuire.
02:34I think he's done a fantastic job.
02:36Brennan Morton and Taj Brooks come back, 18 total starters.
02:40I think they have legs.
02:41If we're talking the SEC, I only go with family and I'm going with Nussmeier and Brian Kelly.
02:48They have great odds at plus 750 to win or 950 now to win the SEC championship plus 125
02:55to make the playoffs and Brian Kelly, I trust.
