00:00The Japan Self-Defense Forces have a long history of having a good alliance with the United States

00:06and on their 170th anniversary, they talked about every plan that they prepared for our country.

00:13Let's take a look at what happened here.

00:18The Japan Self-Defense Forces effectively make the desire of the country of Japan and the Philippines

00:28This is the peace and stability of the alliance that is anchored in the United States.

00:35And just recently, the JSDF celebrated its 70th anniversary with Ambassador to the Philippines Endo Cazuya

00:45along with a few visits from AFP, government officials, diplomatic corps, and National Security Advisor Eduardo Año.

00:54I sincerely congratulate the JSDF for this momentous milestone

01:01a testament to the selfless service and unyielding commitment to their duty for the land and their people.

01:0870 years ago, the Japan Self-Defense Forces was established with a solemn oath

01:14vowing to never repeat the tragedies of the past and to serve as a force for peace and independence of the country.

01:24The JSDF has a large participation, especially in global trade, defense equipments, and technology transfers

01:32and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, just like what happened to the country.

01:39Amid a challenging global environment, the Indo-Pacific region remains at the center of gravity

01:46showing an impressive 4.3% growth in 2023.

01:52However, the potentiality of the region is facing challenges.

01:58Tensions in the South China and East China Sea create a volatile environment.

02:04And just after the 2nd Japan of Philippines Foreign Defense Ministerial Meeting,

02:10the Strategic Outlooks on the Issues of Environment Security and ASEAN Cooperation and Multilateral Cooperation are being given.

02:21Proof of the strong relationship between the Philippines and Japan.
