00:00Some MPs do not bother to read through the Public Accounts Committee's reports even when all of them will receive a copy of them.

00:11PAC Chief Mas Ermiyati Samsuddin said this is why she was grateful for Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul's decision to have PAC reports debated in the House.

00:22I am consistent that the PAC reports need to be discussed.

00:27Because among the things that have been raised, even though the reports have been put on the table,

00:36but some people do not read them.

00:39How many MPs read the PAC reports?

00:44Last October, Johari said he would ensure that PAC's report on the much-delayed Littoral Combat Ship project is debated in Parliament.

00:53The Masjid Dana MP also praised her PAC members for putting aside their party allegiances when carrying out their duties on the committee.

01:01She said although backbenchers outnumber opposition MPs by eight to four on the panel,

01:07it has not influenced its decisions or investigations as they serve as a check and balance for Putrajaya.
