00:10reacting condescendingly to his critics while campaigning ahead of the Sungai Bakar by-election

00:16On the final day of the Sungai Bakar campaign, Rafizi lashed out at critics who had questioned

00:21him about his formulas and labelled them balul and bodoh.

00:26They said the economy minister should adopt a humbler approach to regain public trust.

00:31Wong Chin Huat, a political scientist at Sunway University, said Rafizi must show respect

00:36to the public and refrain from using derogatory terms, especially since he is a minister.

00:42He said Rafizi should apologise for his conduct and change his behaviour, not only during

00:47campaigns but in his daily interactions.

00:50Meanwhile Asma Tayib of University Science Malaysia said Rafizi's comments were inappropriate

00:55especially when addressing people in the Malay heartlands.

00:58He said making condescending remarks would not help bridge the trust deficit between

01:02the Medani government and the Malays.
