00:00Speaker 3 Luvig. Oh, bear comes in the day leading. He, I mean, if you look at Ludwig's
00:08week, it's so strange. Like he goes 64, 64, 65, and then 73 on Sunday, three over par.
00:15And looking at the strokes gain stats. I mean, it's just, it was just bad across the board.
00:20It was, you know, he is, is probably his worst metric was, was worst metric was around the
00:24green, lost a shot and a half there, but close after that was, uh, it lost a shot in
00:29a quarter off the tee, uh, lost 1.1 shots approach. And then his best statistic was
00:36putting, but still was in the negative there and negative 0.67 strokes gained, uh, putting.
00:41So just, uh, a strange sort of finish to this tournament for Ludwig, a guy that we know
00:46has all the talent in the world, a guy who's near the top of the, you know, the, the favorites
00:50board for, you know, next week at true for the open championship. Uh, so I just wonder
00:55what sort of reflections you had on, you know, that result for him, given how much we think
01:01of his game and his performances in these sorts of situations.
01:05Well I think it's always good to look at how the rest of the field played that day and
01:09just what they were relative to par. And the fact that only 16 players shot over par of
01:1674 players and of the top 26 guys, only one guy shot over par. And that was Ludwig Oberg.
01:24Another player shot even par Mateo Manassero. But I, I think you, you have to, you have
01:30to be a little judgy on this round. You know, that that's not a good performance for a player
01:34who's had a really strong three days and felt like it was going to be his, his tournament
01:39to lose. You know, I think I woke up, uh, today, uh, it was, I guess these guys were
01:46about to tee off and it just felt like there was no way Ludwig was going to lose today.
01:50I just felt like he was the front runner the whole time, uh, played fantastic the whole
01:55week. What was going to stop him and just didn't expect a day in which where he just
02:00didn't have it. I think that that was really surprising that he was not able to give it
02:05much more of a fight than he did. Um, I don't think you can say that, Oh, he doesn't, he
02:12doesn't know how to win or he doesn't have the clutch gene. Well, that's not true. Um,
02:17he's, he's won at every level. He's won on the PGA tour, but this one's going to sting
02:21a little bit. I think he's going to be a little frustrated by his play today and sometimes
02:25you just don't have it, but it's on a, on a Sunday and a day in which you have a two
02:29shot lead and you're playing as well as you, you are, I think surprised that he wasn't
02:34in better rhythm and not able to kind of stay in that same mind frame that he had the
02:39first three days.
